I was just browsing through Street & Smith's Pro Football magazine today, and I noticed that the two best RBs in Cowboys' history, (Emmitt & Tony D.), have quite a combined yardage total. In fact, when I added it up, they ran for 31,094 yards combined!

It got me wondering how the rest of the league stacked up, and I was astonished! Not only are they the top tandem in league history, but only two teams, the Steelers, (32,217), and the Rams (31,824), have a larger total from their top THREE running backs in their history. Really gives a Cowboys' fan have one more reason to celebrate.:dance3:

Since these are the dog days of the NFL, just thought I would share these tidbits with you.

Yes, very impressive. Two of the all time greats at the position.

Did you only count their Cowboy production? I guess Bettis contributes to both the Steelers and the Rams.

Good info. Proof that this paticular offseason has been way too long.

Good point. I bet Emmitt and Tony together gaind less than 2500 yards that wan't for the cowboys.

If Bettis is on both lists, the it would put them both beneath the cowboys if you only counted yards gained with the team.

All numbers are based on total production. However, if a player had been with two teams, I tried to figure which team they had been with the most. IE: Bettis with Pittsburg, Faulk with St. Louis.
Since Emmitt was only with the Cards two years, obviously he is considered a Cowboy.
