I don't know if Escobar was as bad as people are claiming. One of the penalties was bogus and the other one wouldn't be called by some refs.

-Escobar was slotted below Hanna when James was healthy
-Escobar was slotted below Swaim when Geoff was healthy

That tells us enough about Escobar's blocking. I'm not saying he's terrible at it but he's not a natural.

Maybe one or two of those penalties were borderline, but again...the line isn't the same with Escobar in there.

Hanna could have had a huge year for us. Really had his injury and the down-the-road prognosis for him and micro fracture.

Lucky Whitehead might be the fastest guy on the team, but doesn't really seem like a threat on returns at all. I don't know if anyone is a better option, but if we need a good return in the 'offs, I hope they use Dez.

I'm beginning to think that McFadden should be our 3rd down back. He has good hands, can pick up blitz's and is probably the fastest back on the team. Dunbar bye bye.

The best place to use Escobar is on the goal line, split out wide for jump balls.

Ive seen Sean Peyton use motion to move graham out there and create a huge mismatch or a stack with Beasley..............but yes, your right, put Escobar in a position to succeed at least a couple of times per game.

Ive noticed other player come off the feild after screwing up, and still get pats and some level of encouragment, last nite saw Escobar come off with no teammates offering anything----------have to watch for a pattern as season moves on. Thats tough on a guy--no matter what if that is a steady pattern.

I'll keep Dunbar and Lucky. Lucky concerns me in a big game situation on punt returns, but he still has value. So does Dunbar.

I'd rather sign a free agent to replace Swaim. I'd like to say a Scott Chandler type, but that's going to be hard to find since Chandler is quite good.

I would be more likely to replace Morris with DMC than Dunbar.

Escobar has done alright in previous years as a receiving threat in the end zone, but its a pretty one dimensional game that was a complete waste of a 2nd round pick. Again.
Its only a waste because witten hasnt fallen apart. When he does retire that TE they recently got will "finally not be a bust".

Which TE is that? Escobar?
Whichever one is next in line. If witten retires now then yes, escobar. Let me know if you still didnt comprehend that post after this clarification.
