Over or Under: How many yards will Rico have against our great D?

Will it be over or Under 80 yards??? To be honest he may get that in the first half!!! Solid run, better than the was given credit for, it appears he isn't injured as he was often in his earlier years with us!!

Glad we got Williams I think they both go for big yards!! Please give your thoughts
under.....79..lol

Carolina averages 128 yards per game rushing and I suspect last week's game has a lot to do with that number. Their offense is not very good, although not as bad as the Jets. They average about 20 points per game and about 329 yards. They are about the same in passing yards as the Jets at about 201 yards per game. They rush on average for 128 yards per game. Their OL is ranked higher than the Jets over at ESPN where they are 15th - about average. The Cowboys OL is ranked 4th when healthy.

The Cowboys defense is awful and was awful against the run last week, although the Jets are 3rd in the league in rushing yards per game and yards per rush. Carolina averages 4.8 yards per carry too which is not bad at all.

I think it depends on the Cowboys offense. If they score a lot early, the Panthers will not run as much. If the Panthers get the lead and the Cowboys offense struggles I can see them running for 150 yards or more. Based on what I saw from the Jets last week, I do not believe the Cowboys have fixed their run defense yet.
In my opinion they have better players the jets have one really good wide receiver they've got two..TET is HIM!! We can't totally disrespect the passing game I mean Bryce Young can have a big game if he's allowed to by our stinky defense so it just depends on which part we want to try to go after we chose to play a different front and get pressure and try to stifle the passing game against the Jets therefore we left holes in our defense on the run game so which will they decide to do this week 'cause I don't think they're good enough to do both...

I know the run game is supposed to be a tear your heart out type thing I'd rather them have to drive the length of the field slower and a more of a chance for a mistake or penalties or maybe hold them to field goals versus really easy long passes for quick strike yards and points that got old earlier in the year so I think I'd prefer to not overplay the run game just because of Rico I prefer to make sure they can't kill us with the quick passes long passes junk yards and quick points...

King obvious, it was clearly sarcasm for the super serious people on here that need to just lighten up!!!! Thanks for catching it joe!
Sarcasm is not so clear for everyone. Like now, are you being sarcastic or sardonic?

I'm thinking under 60 yards total rushing. Under 90 if you count ground and air.

Gonna go with 60. They’ll be so far down they’ll have to throw.

If he is the lead back , take the over. The run D is still porous

In those other games he didn’t get many carries.

He runs hard and can make guys miss. If he gets 15-22 carries, he will be a serious challenge for this D.

The more important? is can we slow Carolina’s mediocre Offense down?

Can we hold them to 17 points or less?
I don’t think so, but that would show improvement.
Ok .......never saw anything from him here other than he pulls a game here and there to play well in.

Same thing he is doing there.

I'm excited to see what the Cowboys defense looks like this week. Against the Jets they sold out more on generating pressure on the QB than they prioritized stopping the run which is a 180 over the first few games. Not saying they have 5 all pros on their OL, but Carolina is getting very good production out of their front 5 so far this year, and have two pretty good tackles that might be able to handle our ends 1V1. McMillan is young but a bit of a matchup nightmare for our secondary, and obviously Carolina has some backs capable of putting up good numbers. Will Eberflus put extra pressure on a struggling young QB, or focusing on taking away the run game and making them beat you through the air? Personally I would rather them dial up a few extra blitzes at the risk of giving up a few chunk gains on the ground.
The way this secondary looks some extra blitzes are a must I believe. Dallas as a team had 5 total sacks last week against the Jets, Dallas has a taste for the sack right now, but they got run on some last week. So, the best thing for Eberflus to do here it seems is to mix in some well-timed designed blitzes and switch to man coverage some to confuse this young QB. Kenny Clark and Osa both had a sack last week as well. I hope this defensive line does a better job stopping the run this week.

I say over 80 yards but he won’t be a factor if that makes sense. He’ll get some yards on us but he won’t beat us. I’m more concerned about us looking forward to next week and beating ourselves.

He opened his yap trap with the buckle up comment. He'll get like 58 yards. Usually the biggest yappers are the biggest duds.

Under 80. Against a struggling QB, we will be focused on run defense.

Take a bow, sir.

Well, what more does this fan base need to see? Good GRIEF, does our defense suck!!!

@Coogiguy03 - I do believe I was the winner. Please contact me directly so my prize can be deposited into my account. Imagine projecting 175 and still being under. I assumed you were looking for rushing total. If you meant all purpose, I would have clearly went over 200.

Also, using your administrative powers, please bench all who projected low totals for Rico. Give them a few days to think about their foolishness.
