Over/Under Spencer 4 1/2 sacks for season

BTW I wouldn't draft another OLB, but instead try to get a solid OLB who can at least get 6 sacks a season at free agency time.....

Ive been anti Spencer for a while, but he got there a few times and I think hes playing better.

It's hard to go over given that he has none almost half way through the season but I'm gonna go over anyways. We play teams like Greenbay, Oakland and Washington twice that are being sacked a lot right now. I believe he gets his even though some of them might be garbage sacks.

I'll take the under and that is not a knock on him. He's doing a great job but remember, he's gotta beat Rat and Ware in the race to the qb. Not an easy thing to do.

I think he's gonna end up with about 3. I like his play his season. Its not about the stats with him. He's getting there. Just 1/4th of a second late lol.

In some ways, his season this yr reminds me a little of Ware's rookie season, in that Ware kept getting close a ton during a streak in which he went sackless for 8 straight games. But he was active and made alot of plays all over the field and kept getting "close" on alot of pass rushes.

By the way, Ware ended his rookie yr with 8 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and 1 pass defensed. 3 of the sacks and all 3 forced fumbles came in the next to last game of the yr vs Carolina.

And no, I'm not saying Spencer will end up like Ware, only that there are some similarities.

I'd rather he do a better job recognizing screens and runs to his side. Too often he gets caught rushing wide and the play just passes right by him. He's good physically against the run, he just needs to recognize when those plays are coming his way a little better IMO.

You think he is going to go from zero sacks in seven games to averaging a sack a game? Thats a huge jump for a man with no sacks.

I don't know what his deal is. I was excited when we got him, but he doesn't really seem to have much in the way of pass rush moves.

I don´t know for the year, but I have this strange feeling that he will get two against Mc Flab. I know that there is no reason for this (based on previous games) but still I believe (and hope) he will break out against the eagles....

He plays good football every week and its shocking he hasn't gotten a sack.

Its unreal how close he is to having a monster season.

Well when you're in the 3-4 you better get some pressure from the OLB's. You can't deny that the Cowboys do need to get to the quarterback more and the amount of sacks Spencer has is unnacceptable. It would be nice to get a sack without having to blitz the whole house. But he's playing well I agree. But we do need to get more sacks from our OLB's.
