First off the coaching change is a good thing and not just Phillips...I loved seeing our DC high-fiving our HC and Garrett beating the snot out of Romo and Moore. We have enthusiasm and energy and it shows.

The only real dampers on tonight were Barber against their first string, Thompson on returns he looked tentative, Procter's shotgun snap, our kick coverage, our starting DL, and Free getting hurt.

I was very impressed by:

Free, Julius, our TEs and how we are using them, our LBs look solid and deep, so does our secondary.

Romo was solid, but he missed on what could have been a couple of TDs.

Moore may force us into keeping 3 QBs after all, if so we absolutely need Folk to win the kicking battle but it looks like Martin isn't going down without a fight...I kind of wished Wade would have went ahead and kicked the FG at the end, I know Dungy would understand the situation and not look at it as running up the score.

I thought the offense looked very balanced, I could see a resemblence in Garrets play calling to the offensive style of our 90's offense where we were capable of methodically marching down the field with a multitude of weapons.

Romo looks sharp, confident and mature, I think we will see a more consistent QB this year.

Fasano looks like he could be a big contributer, especially red zone and third down.

Davis is going to solidfy our line, and be dominant IMO.

J.J. looked explosive, his speed is superior, I think I saw a hint of 04 J.J., his burst was impressive.

Barber is tenacious, but he hesitated at first step on a couple of runs that lead to tackles IMO. He does not have elite elusiveness IMO, they will be keying on him in the red zone this year.

Defense looked Vanilla, but the athleticism and speed is obvious.

The most important thing I saw in this game was Henry looking great IMO. Our CB position has been my biggest concern, if he is healthy I see a big year from him in this defense, his physical play and ability to jump routes will be huge withy the pressure I expect us to generate. Unfortunately he is not the same player when nursing injuries, especially if QB has time. Seeing Henry look healthy and sharp made my night.

Hurd looks like a nice prospect.

Would have liked to see J.J. get some touches in the Red Zone.

Young Tackles did a nice job filling in.
