I was watching a little college football yesterday, mostly my home town SoCal teams, and noticed 2 players that could be on the Cowboys radar come draft time.

For UCLA, Owamagebe Odighizuwa was beasting all game long. He's listed as about the same size as Demarcus Lawrence but he looks like he has a little more bulk than DLaw. He's quick off the line, uses his long arms well, and has enough flex to get around the corner. I like his motor and strength--I would keep an eye on this kid because he's going to improve his 5th round draft grade quickly.

I then watched my USC Trojans smack around a very average Fresno State. One player that stood out was Derron Smith. He's the closest safety to Earl Thomas that I have seen since well....Earl Thomas. He's the active career interceptions leader in the nation and is definitely not afraid of contact. This guy was all over the place and just missed a few picks, even though his defense was getting stomped.

Safety Derron Smith is the top prospect from the program in my opinion. He’s a tough run defender with good ball skills. Size is an issue as Smith may struggle to measure 5-feet/10-inches and 200-pounds. That said he has a lot of Earl Thomas in his game.

Keep eye on UCLA DE

UCLA defensive end Owamagbe Odighizuwa missed all of last season as he recovered from hip surgeries. It might not have shown on the stat sheet, as he was credited with just two tackles, but he was outstanding in his return on Saturday. At 6-3, 270, he's a physical specimen. He created a lot of pressure against Virginia. He's a very intriguing guy. I had heard some buzz from scouts about him during two-a-days. He lived up to it against the Cavaliers

Yeah Odighizuwa looks and plays like a monster. A little raw in terms of technique but he had the O lineman on skates all game and was constantly in the backfield.
