After watching him in the bowl game and then watching him in the following video vs USC. He has moved up my board. Looks like a very good RDE. Still don't think he is a 1st round pick, I have him as an early 2nd round pick.

What I like, his size and strength to set the edge. Has a good quick inside move. Knows where the QB is and how to collapse the pocket. He can beat double teams with his inside moves. Great swim move on inside rush.

What I don't like. Not quick enough to shot around the edge. Not a great bend. Get spun around when he gets beat when cutting inside. Needs to get better hands when the lined up straight vs the OT. Seems to get caught and can't get off if he doesnt win the snap.

Just wait till the combine...that 1st round pick you criticized me over will be looking better and better.

One thing to keep in mind is the hip surgery he had last year. Obviously can't say this with any certainty, but I would think it's possible his flexibility will continue to get better. Something the medical staff would have to look into.

I have a feeling he will be in the running to be the pick. I believe most drafts only have 16-18 players with 1st round grades. We will be picking around 25. So our pick will most likely have a 2nd round grade on them, just like FredBeard.

Key words that Garret and Rod continue to stress..."position flex". Can he play DE and move to DT on some plays??

Agreed. He's more of a LDE in this scheme - which I think the club will keep no matter who the DC is.
