was with intention by Parcell according to Philly paper;
According to those close to Cowboys players, Bill Parcells was hell-bent on ensuring Terrell Owens wasn't the star on Sunday. Although it's no secret Parcells is partial to wideout Terry Glenn -- this season -- many believe he purposely didn't want Owens to shine, to avoid the migraines such a colossal ego would cause.

He was the target of 35% of the teams pass attempts. More than any other player. Maybe Bledsoe was instructed to throw him uncatchable passes, to keep his ego in check.

Owens was always left on the outside to run out and up patterns and face constant double teams while doing do. In short, he was used primarily as a decoy. Most teams try to free up their #1 WR from double teams by lining him up inside and havning him run more pattens inside from the slot. That way if he is doubled it's by a CB and a LB or nickel safety. Instead Owens was always doubled by 2 CBs or a CB and and base-defense Safety. Parcells clearly miss-used owens, wasting his talent by only using it to draw a CB away.

Well let me say they entrusted that task (uncatchable passes) to the right man and he executed to perfection. :D

He was in the slot several times. He was covered by some guy same Hanson and they still could not get him the ball. I know this because for the first time in the history of the NFL, a player was highlighted with a graphic or circled before every single play. I was surprised Aikman didn't circle him sitting on the bench while our defense was on the field.

most likely true, its the best reason ive heard so far why one of the NFLs best WR didnt get the ball, and to the guy who said he got 35% of the passes he may have got 5% of those passes in arms reach

So Aikman said. :rolleyes:

Even that pass was way out in front of him, another poorly thrown ball.

You can hate Owens all you want but don't even question his on field performance or effort.

He had a drop, which all WR's do.

Right, his performance shouldnt be questioned....232 recieving yards through 4 games deserves a free pass.

Just like it deserves to be mentioned that he played nearly all of the Commanders game with a broken hand and came back very quickly from that injury

Yes, I believe this right up there with Philly never using more than 7 in the box against Dallas.

Give me a break.

For as much as he is getting paid, the sacred performance on the field isnt there. He has spent more time in Dallas hospital bends than the end zone.
