That's fine. This is not a stout group up front. So the OL should be able execute their blocks and create creases for Murray, whether they stack the box or not. We'll lose some downs due to the run blitzing but we'll also win our share as well. This is not Detroit up front, or even Philly for that matter.

Well said, no Suh in Greenbay:hammer:

You never know. Murray's metrics are certainly trending in the direction where it wouldn't surprise anybody if an opposing team decided to stop Romo first and live with Murray:

Murray's Average Yards Per Carry (by Month)

5.4 ypc -> September
4.9 ypc -> October
4.5 ypc -> November
4.0 ypc -> December
3.9 ypc -> January (So far)

Yeah see now is that because teams have decided to take away Murray or because he's fading? All I know is if he's not fading and they gamble to see if he is this run game will grind a defense into the turf. What I've seen from teams though is they're not willing to let Murray beat them.

I think a combination of a couple of things:
  • Emphasis from other team to stop Murray. This is why Romo's stats have skyrocketed recently
  • Workload has worn Murray down
  • Broken hand

I wonder how limited he is by his hand I haven't noticed how he's been catching the ball. If teams do continue to emphasize stopping Murray though I think Romo will continue this level of play.
