Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports the Green Bay Packers have begun fielding telephone calls, and offers, in terms of trying to decide whether it is worth it to trade disgruntled WR Javon Walker. The Packers made it clear they only will trade Walker for the right price, a high price. Teams at the top of the list include the Denver Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles, but there are at least three other confirmed teams that weighed in Monday, April 24. There is no shortage of suitors for Walker, meaning that it is looking more and more as if Green Bay will trade Walker.

I think SF is in the mix too given their loss of Lloyd and the inexperience of the rest of their WR corps.

I hope the Cowboys are a player in the Javon Walker trade talks. He's only 27 listed at 6'-3" 215lbs, same height as TO, but about 10lbs lighter. He's quicker than TO.

Even if the Packers would agree to a trade, it would be a hard sell to get Walker to come to the Cowboys - not enough balls to go around unless you can trade TG.

We just need Bledsoe to throw as many passes as he did in 1994 when he completed 400 passes. That's 100 each for Owens, Glenn, Witten, and Walker.. Bring him in.. :)

"The Packers made it clear they only will trade Walker for the right price, a high price." Had Dallas not brought in TO I would be in favor of going after Walker, fact is TO is here and what is would cost Dallas would be way too much, if Dallas is to address WR this year I expect it to be in the draft

Who else will be very disappointed if Walker goes for a second round pick, knowing we could have made that deal and had him instead of Owens...

I would like Walker more for 2 reasons...

He is younger and is less likely to detonate... you would lose some production but that would be a chance I would be willing to take

Yeah but those 3 WR's should be thinking about winning SB.... not about enough balls to go around and I doubt that Jerry and Bill care if their stats get padded...

I hear ya though... I just want the best team on the field and win that "One for the OTHER FINGER on the OTHER HAND" LMAO

Seriously though... I hope we are in the talks about Javon... because WE HAVE to get the MOST talent we can around Drew Bledsoe.

Bledsoe, Owens, Walker, Bill, Jerry are all looking for SB. Get it done!

I doubt Dallas is even in the discussion, we paid out big money to both TO and Glenn, I doubt they are going to spend more big dollars at the WR position. Teams do pay attention of how much they have invested at the different position and I seriously doubt Dallas is going to invest even more at WR at the expense of other areas of this team. I could see us drafting a WR some where in the draft but giving up picks and paying big money to Walker in my opinion is not going to happen.

Our #49 this year and next years #1 for their #36 this year and Jevon Walker!

Then we do this...

#18 Dallas OT-Winston Justice
#36 Dallas (From Green Bay*) OG-Max Jean Gilles

Call Jerry! Would immediately give us two players through the draft that could start right away and be with us for years to come, not to mention we inject some quality youth into that WR position. If Glenn need go, so be it. The compared value of the two is easily balanced in Walkers favor. Sure Glenn may, and I say may, have an alright year opposite TO (not betting on it) but compared to the years of service a young player like Walker could give us, no contest. Terry can say his last hurrah somewhere else just like Keyshawn. People think a loss like that would be painful to swallow, but ask yourself how easy the Keyshawn loss has been going down now that it actually happen...Pretty smooth huh? Irvin said it best last year, those two were nothing but glorified #2's, nothing more. TO and Walker give us two legitamite #1's that could make even Irvin drool from here till the next super bowl!

This trade would be ideal for both teams. They won't get a #1 from anybody else, we get 3 players who could start immediately- maybe two by just sitting pat but not 3- plus we stuff a big hole full of big bodies with our top two picks that we wouldn't beable to do otherwise. Time for Jerry to give Bill the nod to call Ron Wolf to call Green Bay and put in a good word for us.

Saturday we could unload Terry for an extra 3rd rounder.

You say "big money" for Glenn this year, I say "hush money". He's just as expendable as Keyshawn. Bill's loyalty is to winning, not to one individual player- the Keyshawn releasing and thereafter signing of TO proved that. And I say thank god, it's about time, Bill, you finally woke up. He was loyal to a fault and I believe he's finally figured that out. The biggest fan complaint for these first 3 years has been his undying (seemingly blind) loyalty to his ex-players. I think we can safely say that's no longer a trait he's showing this season like years in the past, or atleast imo it isn't. So i don't understand this blindfaith that some people have in Glenn's stability here in Dallas.. Keyshawn did just as much if not a whole helluva lot more in his time here then Glenn ever did- plus he was a vocal on the field leader, something the passive Glenn has never exibited to any degree.

Key never had the year that Glenn did last year in Dallas, we need WRs who can seperate quickly from CBs, which is why Glenn is still here and Key is not, there is no undying love for Glenn from Parcells, it's Glenn simply producing at a high-level and as long as he continues to, he'll be a Cowboy

Dallas evidently wanted him or they would not have given him a raise just a couple of months back and did so despite the fact that this Walker situation has been going on even longer. Once Dallas got TO I think Walker fell off the radar screen in Dallas. So this not just what some fans may feel about Glenn it how the organization feels about Glenn.

Ask that question again at the end of the season, and we'll see who has the better season.

I like Walker, but I wouldn't give up such a high draft pick for a receiver coming off a season-ending injury.

I would hope that our front office is considering more than just the 2006 season...
