NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones says he's delaying filing for reinstatement with the NFL until a possible trade is worked out.

Jones on Tuesday told the Michael Irvin Show on ESPN Radio that he had planned to seek reinstatement but changed his mind for now.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Jones for the 2007 season for his off-field conduct, which includes six arrests since being drafted. Goodell rejected appeals to let Jones take part in training camp or return after 10 games. The suspension does not stop the Titans from trading Jones' contract.

Goodell won't reinstate him until training camp anyways, so it really makes no difference. Also, this news is relatively old.

It makes sense for him to wait because a consumated trade would bear weight on Goodell's decision making.

Really the application is the only "leverage" that Adam has -- if he is reinstated then the Titans are going to have more teams bidding for him and he may end up somewhere he doesn't want to go -- this keeps the interest down which is fine with Adam as the team he wants to go to is the one that is making an offer to the Titans.

i think it is him saying he only wants to play for Dallas

I think it is him saying the Dallas Cowboys are going to draft McFadden.

(What?! Everyone else is obsessed with McFadden--why shouldn't Adam be?)
