Colts-QB-Hits-Pam-Oliver-in-Face-With-Pass.gif

Now that I look more carefully at this, I think that it is actually Erin Andrews throwing that pass. This is the zapruder film of sports reporting.

Whoever the guy is who didn't have the awareness and athletic ability to break up the completion on Pam's face needs to hand in his man card.

I'll take Erin Andrews over Pam Oliver any day of the week.

Since we're on this subject, I have a question or an issue with this Erin thing and maybe someone here can clear it up for me.

Erin was the victim of a peeping tom who drilled holes in adjoining hotel room walls to film her. While I think that crime was reprehensible, from the footage that was shown no one could make out who it was in the video. All of a sudden ESPN comes out with a cease and desist order for the video to be taken off the internet all but confirming that it was, in fact, Andrews.

Erin, of course was outrage as any victim would be, and she was out front with wanting justice and suing the hotels that were involved.

The problem I have is before this incident, many didn't know who Erin was, she was just another pretty face on the sidelines. Since then she's blown up, ESPN College Gameday's promo actually said "join Erin and the boys", endorsement deals Probiotic, Reebok, hosting Good Morning America and others.

To me either you're outraged about you privacy being violated want justice and after it's served you want to go back to your normal life or you're like Kim Kardasian and want to parlay the exposure that the video generates for profit.

To me Erin is a little more like Kim K than anyone wants to admit. Just my opinion and I do welcome different ideas because again maybe I'm wrong on this.

Personally, I think Oliver offers very little. She seems like she has an unnecessary attitude at times and doesn't show much insight. I wouldn't miss her at all.

I respectfully disagree. She should have evaluated Sherman and approached another one of his teammates until he he had cooled off more. Sometimes, it is best not to get in someone's face.

I thought it was great TV drama. As good as it gets. And the look on her face was priceless.

If Pam Oliver is on her way out, I hope that she will impart some of the wisdom she has accumulated over two decades to Erin Andrews. The Richard Sherman interview was pathetic. How does anyone, who works as closely with athletes as these reporters do, not sense their temperment, especially after a crucial game? And after witnessing the physical play between Sherman and Michael Crabtree as the game ended?

I can still remember seeing the camera cut to Andrews and Sherman and immediately said uh oh to myself. That guy went off. And she looked as if he was going to punch her. Poor soul. Lesson learned I guess. Or at least I hope so for her sake down her professional road.

This is one of the best posts I've ever seen on the site. Great insight DE. Everyone is so focused on Sherman they overlooked the obvious. Kudos.

Erin Andrews isn't exactly a knockout. The position is kind of a joke anyway, no matter who's doing it. It basically amounts to 'Hey Coach, your thoughts on the game so far?'
'Well we need to play better defense and get the run game going.'
'Thanks Coach, back to you...'

That and 'I spoke to so-and-so during the half and he said they plan to score more points.'

.

I'm not sure I can connect all the dots here. Erin's "normal life" was working on TV as a sideline reporter. This was her career.
To turn down offers and promotions etc just because of this incident would be allowing the creep to continue to victimize her in my eyes.
Kim k basically was an unknown without a career before she willing allowed herself to be taped and then "played" the victim role into fame.
I know you didn't say the two were identical but I really don't see the similarities.
As far as the Erin/Pam debate.
Pam has grown on me thru the yrs.
Erin is a beautiful girl but at times that voice of hers grates my nerves.
To each his own I suppose.

To capitalize off the situation and the leaked tape just doesn't feel right imo. I guess the question I'd ask you is, do you think she'd be where she is if it weren't for the incident or tape that was leaked.

Kim K's capitalizing off of her tape is very overt, in your face and simply can't be denied but Erin's has been kinda stealth so no one really looks closely at the situation as being the same but to me there's a lot of similarities.

I remember Pam interviewing the Cowboy players back in the 90's...she is way hotter today than then! btw I'm still partial to Suzy Kolber

No question that she wouldn't be without the incident. I see your point, I just don't know what choice she had in the matter.

Wow. That QB has no sense of aim. Why is he in the NFL? That wasn't a slip. He zeroed that one in there.

It looks like there was a reciever there, only get a small glimpse of white helmet and white shirt

Yeah and I guess that why I'm seeking out differing opinions on this. Thanks.
