Parcells/Bledsoe eye to eye?

If Jens assertion is true Bledsoe went to Parcells asking that we open up the playbook is true......

Lets delve into their history..... Bledsoe was a #1 overall pick and 20 year old rookie when he met Parcells. Parcells got a lot out of Drew - they made it to the Super Bowl together.

When Bill left Drew took shots at the Tuna.... "You'd like to think he'd at least say goodbye after all we've been through. But Bill is about Bill. Thats the way it is, thats who he is." As the Carrol era dawned Drew even said "Its exciting coming into a positve atmosphere" "Its not like before, you don't come in every day wondering if you are going to get beat down" He also said he wasn't disattisfied with Bill's style" but that Carrolls could work too....

Fast forward a few years per Will McDonough wrote that it started to impact Drew what an impact Parcells was on him really. Drew realized they butted heads and started to see the method to the madness and that Bill got the best out of him.

After the 1998 loss to Jets, Bledsoe sought out Parcells and congratulated Bill - their first words since leaving Pats.....

Bill called Drew back on Wednesday and told him he wanted Drew to know that he was pulling for him, that he liked him, and that he really tried to make him a better QB. Per Mcdonough they have had a tight relationship since.

Fast forward 2005 and we snap up Bledsoe the day aftter available. There were doubters but fact is Drew wanted to play for Bill and Bill wanted him here. Drew is on pace to make the Pro Bowl and a big part of the reason that we battered Eagles and are a playoff contender.

That Drew was able to talk to Bill on direction of our offense versus Arizona speaks volumes. Few players have the clout or respect to do that with Tuna. After Seattle implosion and conservative calling.

At home in a must win game with Jones out again. You can book it - We are coming out slinging on Drew Bledsoe's arm. And I am extremely confident and grinning as I type - we are going to knock the carinals head over heals back to the desert in a route.

We are going to put them away early and often.

Maaaaan I sure hope this is true. I'd luv to see us be more aggressive on "O". We have to attack even if we take a few bad hits, we still have to keep the heat on. Our D is very very good and getting better with each game. With that being said, it allows us to be more aggressive on O.. Hope sunday will be the start of something real BIG...

The reason I don't excited about this "open the playbook" talk is that we are playing the pitiful Cardinals this week. Who cares whether we open up the passing game this week? We are going to pound this team no matter what we do. I want to see us open it up when we play a decent team.

Why I believe Bledsoe talked to Parcells.....

In my reference/research noted Drew mentioned Parcell's beating the team down....Parcells this week mentioned off tough loss he couldn't beat team down.

I find that wordage ironic and telling.

yeah, no kidding, i certainly don't think they're any worse than the raiders or 69ers and we all know what happened in those games. We can play with anyone, no matter how bad they are. We can make a game of it.
The Cards have the best young tandem of WRs in the league right now IMO.
They also have a great pass rusher and against our crummy OL.
Plus, the Cards always bring their A game against their daddy's, the Cowboys.

This is not college footbal. this is the NFL. No one is a pushover in the NFL. There are no Utah State's in the NFL. No Ball State. The Cardinals can beat anyone on any given Sunday.

That bieng said, we have to realize how big of a win this must be. There is no option for losing here. It would set us back bigtime. The Cardinals are Draft Jockeys, we are supposed to be contenders. We are coming home after a loss that should have been a win. We should be mad and eager to hit the field.

I actually would be more worried about this game if we had beaten Seattle.

If we can't win this game we are not a playoff team - period.

We win the game and go into bye week and hopefully we get milk jones back.

Yeah just like the Boys were supposed to pound the Niners? With the dink and dunk crap playbook that has been BP's calling card this team will not pound anyone.
