I missed posting about the last couple of games of the season; my wife was having a baby and she thought that was more important. Go figure!
The theme of the day is "There's a chance". No guarantee on anything with Jerry Jones running this outfit!
The Good:
*There's a chance the team will begin adjusting better to schemes and personell instead of doing the same thing over and over.
*There's a chance without Parcells and Zimmer that somebody new will run the D in an aggressive style and it will finally live up to its potential.
*Theres a chance there will be players playing with excitement and aggression instead of fear and hesitation.
*Whoever gets this job will have ample talent onhand. Parcells did, in my opinion, a masterful job of acquiring talent through the draft and free agency. With the exception of Fabini and Coleman, the talent level is light years ahead of what it was 4 years ago. I wouldn't mind seeing Parcells as GM even though I doubt it will happen.
*Jerry has nearly got to get a big time coach now. Maybe Rivera. Bob Stoops has his distractors but look at this season. He loses his QB due to supspension and goes with a converted WR at QB and still wins. I doubt Cowher or Fisher but Jerry can never go back to the Chan Gaileys or Dave Campos now.
The Bad/The Ugly -- It's all pretty much the same now!!
*I hate that Parcells didn't accomplish what he wanted to accomplish. I was as critical of Parcells as anybody else but I still don't like to see anybody associated with the Cowboys suffer defeat.
*Can you imagine the draft now with Jerry in charge? Bring on your Shante Carvers and your Kavika Pittmans. We'll take 'em all!!!!
*Somebody else is gonna have to get along with TO. It can't be some no-name puppet friend of Jerry coach. It's gotta be somebody with some street cred.
*I actually heard that Zimmer might be a candidate since it would be a promotion from his current position in Atlanta. YIKES!!!!!!!
