According to NFL Network, Parcells has accepted a position with ESPN as an analyst. No link at this time.

I pretty much figured the rotten Tuna would land back at ESPN....

Please tell me he's taking over for the Bastion of Cenility, Mike Ditka.

Thats sweet.......now all the people who hate "BSPN" can gripe about one more thing that "sucks" before switching over and catching the Six O' Clock sportscenter and following NFL live........

at which time they will post a thread saying how bad both Parcells and ESPN suck only to turn around a watch the Ten O' Clock sportscenter before going bed.......waking up and repeating the whole process.

Personally, I haven't watched SportsCenter in some years now... if I need a quick fix of sports news, I'll tune to ESPNews for a little while...

Without exaggeration, Mike Ditka has to be one of the dumbest people on television.

Misprint: After four years in Dallas, he's seeing an analyst.

I would love to see Tuna on TV...He would and could give a lot of insight on the Cowboys without the worries that he may offend a player he may need...

plus I think Tuna is an interesting person

The guy's an ignorant fool, but he's definitely colorful. Those tend to go hand in hand.

Wise? His nonsense about asking to 'see' the ledgers & documentation of the NFL in their pension payments to former players made me laugh, proving his cenility. The NFL has no legal or moral obligation to show him documents just because he wants to see them. In fact, they may have legal obligation NOT to.

I for one am not impressed with his nearly unintelligable, 'no nonsense I'm old school & old and wise' garbage. He's a cranky old man who feels that because he is old, he is entitled to whatever he wants.

This definately would tend to go along with the other thread that ESPN is giving the axe to the Playmaker. It would seem almost impossible that after this season that BP could exist with the Playmaker who is a friend of "The Player".

It is ironic that with the contempt Parcells routinely shows against the media he is coming back to be one of their cronies.

and I doubt Irvin is gone. If anyone is going I would suspect Young, who seemed to disapear late in the season and during the playoffs. They had Dikta on the studio set more often and Young on remote assignment.

I've got two words on that...

Ricky Williams

Draft picks

1999 Draft

Wedding Dress

Desperate deal

Overrated coach

Loud mouth

Back stabber

Blow hard

On the bright side...

Great TE

Okay...that's all I could come up with.

i think that's the point. espn thrives on controversy. what better than to have the coach of the player vs irvin

plus like they said steve young wants to spend more time with his family and was only doing monday night countdown. so he'll probably take his place. ditka on sundays parcell on mondays

First thing I thought of as well. I would rather see 88.
