Wasn't it Parcells who was quoted last wek as saying that "Bledsoe needed to be more than a bus driver"? Yet when asked last night why he benched Bledsoe Parcrlls said "Too much improvisiong". I'm sorry, but that's just hypocritical that Parcells is now going to throw Bledsoe under the bus for Parcells' own faults.

Now, I'm not going to argue whther or not Bledsoe should have been benched - because I agree he's not the right QB to play behind Parcells' putrid OL - but how can players have any confidence in a coach who talks out of both sides of his mouth, or puts players in positions to fail - like not rebuilding an OL for a QB we all knew going in needed a line that can hold a pocket, or switching to a base-2-TE offense that makes it easier for defenses to use cover-2 to take away the star WR the GM got in free agency to open up the offense for that QB.

Parcells talks about his need to gain his players' trust. But he failed on the other side of that equation by not giving them ample reaons to trust him. Bledsoe was right to call the QB-switch a big mistake and I applaud him for throwing blame back in Parcells' face, where it is rightly due!
