Parcells to make decision in hours?

I heard on ESPN Radio that Jerry said that Parcells will make his decision in the coming hours, or at the latest, the coming days. Anyone else hear this timetable.

That being said, if he does decide to hang it up, he needs to tell Jones pronto before the top coaching candidates are gone...

Parcells needs to make a deep playoff run. If he would retire know his tenure here would be deemed a failure.

He will see this through and has built the core of this team. Unless there are health issues he's back.

I think that BP really does need to make up his mind quickly. He can't leave JJ and the Cowboys hanging here.

actually they "reported" something he said in a PC weeks ago -- that at his age you consider walking away every year.

If he makes a quick decision then I believe he will be retiring. I certainly hope so!! I have never really liked the guy and question a lot of his decisions.

Jerry is not dumb....if BP already told him that he was retiring, you better believe that he has been on the phone with alot of guys to bring in here. It may even work to JJ's advantage NOT to release it yet.

I heard the same thing on the radio today. I also saw JJ on the pregame the other day talking about how much he wants Parcells to come back. I hope it happens for you guys. I think Parcells is your best chance of improving next year. You'd be hard pressed to find a coach that comes in his first year and improves on the situation.

I'm sure there are plenty of coaches who could have got better than 9-7 (or 10-6 if you feel like the team didn't bother with the Rams) with the talent on this team.
