For wasting his $$$$. Tonight was a disgrace to the organization. The tripplets get retired and our arch rival embarasses the team on MNF. The season is screwed in one game. Make no mistake, this was a must divisional win and this will reck the season. Say goodnight sweatheart, putting Glenn instead of Newman on their fastest WR cost Dallas the game. That and the inabiliity to rush the passer without blitzing all night. Roy Williams is a great LB (I know he's a saftey, sort of), but can not hang with speedy WR's.

How much $$$ did JJ shell out this year. NO excuses, just appolagize to the man BP and tell him you're not the coach you once were.

with this situation until tonight. The team simply didn't get it done. Penalties at bad times and not putting your best players on the opponents. The buck stops with the HC in that situation and this loss was emarrasing for JJ. He deserves better after shelling out around $40 Mil this offseason along with BP's $4 Mil + salary.

We lost to a professional football team' a rival in the 2nd game of the season. I'm not happy but declaring the season lost is a little much.

I disagree.....this night wasn't a disgrace to the organization.

As a matter of fact, this type of thing happens often when teams do these ceremonial things....I hate distractions.

I remember how we humiliated the Giants when they retired Simms' number.

I remember how we blew a fourth quarter lead when Emmitt broke Payton's record.

It happens folks.....Losses like this aren't uncommon.

decarling the season over, I agree that statement is extreme. But this is the worst team in the east, unless its us. We just lost to them at home. Going .500 in the division is a reach at this point. It requires:

1) Winning at Washington, no guarantee
and one of...

2) sweeping the Giants
3) splitting with Philly

I think 2-4 in division is on its way. If so, say goodbye to the playoffs and I don't think JJ spent $40 Mil this off season to sit at home in Dec/Jan again. This is a HUGE loss.

I agree to a point. What coach would put A. Glenn on the other teams best player except a coach who will play HIS players from yesteryear first. BP probably trusted A. Glenn more than Newman and he went with that.

Last week, Glenn was a hero. This week, he's the goat.

That's the way the ball bounces.

It had nothing to do with wanting to put Glenn on Moss. When we go to the nickel, Glenn moves to left cornerback and Newman plays the slot receiver. If Moss had lined up in the slot, Newman would have been covering him. If Moss had lined up on the offense's left, Henry would have been covering him.

Whether that philosophy should change or will change is up for debate, but Parcells wasn't purposefully trying to have Glenn guard Moss. He merely had Glenn playing left cornerback. Hopefully, Glenn gets better at it than he was tonight, or he'll cost us even more games.

Going .500 in the division requires a win @Washington AND sweeping NY? I had no idea...I thought this was only 1 game? Seems to me that it would take splitting with each team to go .500. That's not out of the realm of possibility, you know.

No one is debating where Newman and Glenn plays by design. When a team exposes a weakness on your team, we do something called "make adjustments". All it would have taken was to switch the players position.

Then again, Moss will not sneak up on us next time. Our coaching staff will have plenty of time to "make adjustments". If we see this type of coaching the next time we play the skins, then it will be obvious to all that BP is hopelessly dedicated to his ex players over less familiar but more talented ones.

You'll see I said winning at Washington AND one of:

Sweeping the Giants or splitting with Philly.

Which one are you Banking on? And there is no guarantee we win in Washington. A sweep by the skins would be devastating to any post season aspirations.

Anybody that harbors post season aspirations at this point is a fool- face it folks, this is a 6-10 team with a few better, but greatly inexperienced parts. The defense seems to be good at blowing leads and giving up impossible 4th and long conversions and the offense plays not to lose. This is not yet a good team and tonights loss might be a crusher to a young team. Just look at last year's Pittsburgh game for a case in point. No way we beat the Giants and Philly will smoke us like a cheap cigar, and I seriously doubt we go in to Washington and beat them- I said 7-9 before the season and I'm sticking to it, though I may have been too optimistic. Rack and I were both calling this game all week- we knew we were going to **** the bed on national TV in a Ring of Honor game- do we EVER win a game anymore when someone gets honored? It's time to face the reality that at present, we are not contenders, even in the weak NFC.

Huge loss, yes, but that doesn't make this a bad team.

Bad play calling, penalties on crucial plays makes this a bad team.

I don't care what you think, Dallas has the talent to be an 11-5 team this year, we should have been 2-0 tonight and possibly 4-0 going into the Eagles game, but it is how you use the talent you have that makes the difference. If the Cowboys continue to play not to lose instead of going for the jugular, this will be a 6-10 team.

If there is any bright side to this loss, however, the Patriots, Eagles, and Falcons are all 1-1.

I'll bet you my left toe, that the next time a team tries to go for it on 4th and long, BP will have Newman on the outside where he's supposed to be.

The only play we gave up on the blitzes was that stupid play where the RB runs out of the back field, while our blitzers are coming in.

So BP was tired of that, so he stopped blitzing. I'd rather see some stupid guy get 7 yards coming out of the back field, than to see a non-pressured clean pass.

And I agree, that we are in serious trouble. I don't think we can go into Raider land and play a conservative offense like we did tonight.

We may be .500 this year.
