He's 6'3" and 245 pounds. If you line him up at DE full-time teams are going to run right at him. He's not built for that.

He's a good situational pass rusher. He's not a full-time defensive end. Use him accordingly.

I think Quinn wanted to put Parsons' speed at LB more last week vs Carolina. After watching LVE/Jaylon on Sunday, I cant blame him. Tragic. Hopefully Neal's return allows more flexibility with how Quinn chooses to use Parsons.

Exactly! All pressures AT THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE!!! Not hanging back as a LB.

    When will you learn???

    Exactly! Spot on.

Too bad some are hell bent at playing Micah as a MLB in coverage (his weakest part of his game).

Micah needs to play attacking the line of scrimmage as you mentioned, whether at 4-3 DE, around the edge as a 3-4 OLB or lined up while blitzing inside. Interchange him all 3 different ways, but definitely play him attacking that line. That's the beat way to use him.

So you want a LB to blitz from 5 yards deep? :lmao::lmao::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

They definitely need to keep moving him around. Keep offenses guessing. In fact, keep moving Parsons and Gregory both. Sprinkle in some Cox, Neal, and Anae while you’re at it.

Literally no one, not a single soul, is hell bent on Parsons being a coverage backer. Just stop.

    Shut it.

Plenty on here have been clamoring how Parsons could develop into a good coverage LB.

With the release of Smith, Parsons will be heading back to his LB spot.

He needs to play LB where he can use his speed and blitz for pressure

putting him on the line is just dumb

    handcuffing his range and playmaking

Micah was plenty effective playing linebacker. In fact, him roaming around and jumping from one gap to another causes mass confusion on the oline.

He had one rush up the middle taking on 3 blockers and flushing out Darnold to the right side, allowing Goldston to rack up a sack.

Of course! Playing AT THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE. Not playing 5+ yards back as a normal LB.

What is so hard for you guys to understand?

I'm sure Dan Quinn will put him where he is best at.

He does. He should continue to develop at LB though and not be exclusive pass rusher. His MLB skills need work.

Quinn just needs to continue with lining him up at either edge or shooting/stunting either gap on blitzes.
Keep moving him around the line of scrimmage forcing the opposing offense to account for him.

His pass rush skillset, burst and sense of urgency to get the QB has influenced the entire defense's shift to a speedy and swarming defensive mindset.

    It's obvious.

    Keep him chasing the QB.

    Period.
