Has anyone noticed that we seem to rarely use our backs as an option in the passing game. Maybe because we need them more in pass protection to assist the OL? It just seems other teams make it a point to keep their backs involved via the air while we rarely do. I think JJ could make some things happen if they considered using him more this way.

Thoughts???

yeah it's hard to catch a pass when your busy blocking a 250 lb. linebacker:bang2:

I think that has more to do with the fact that our WRs and TEs are getting open on every play and Romo doesnt have to check it down than it does with a lack of utility.

and the fact that our line could'nt block an artery little own a pass rusher and if you think our WR's and TE's are open every play why does romo have to avoid 3 sacks a play to wait for them to finally come open. after all he is having to avoid that pressure from somewhere. hint hint the o-line, or the recievers really aren't getting open it cant be both things so what is it

Hyperbole is great but it doesnt amount to much. Since Adams has been coming on in the second half of the season, our offensive line play has been pretty good. Our play from our tackles and center has been superb. Granted it seemed that our Guards did have some issues with Coleman on Saturday but over the past 5 games weve given up 8 sacks.

Romo sidestps some pressure sure but if it was flood gate like you would have people think then we would have assuredly given up more than 8 sacks in 5 games.

Our pass completion percentage is high and our sack numbers are low yet our receivers and tight ends get the lions share of the receptions.

??????? do you watch the games or just the highlights on sportscenter. no doubt there is alot of pressure that any other qb except for vick would end up on their back how many times in the past five games should he have been sacked if not for his mobility. that's called giving the recievers time to break off their routes and get open hence the pointing downfield "go deep" gestures and such. do't try telling me that garbage the o-line is far from superb they're getting it done but not by much whohave we played inthe last five games???atl, n.o.,n.y.,tampa bay, and last but very least indy. not exatly the monsters of the midway if you ask anyone.

More hyperbole. Wonderful.

You are aware that all of those teams have very good defensive ends on their squads? Umenyori, Abraham, Freeny all come to mind of the top of my head. I guess those guys just werent getting sacks because of those floodgates that you allude to.

Now i did admit that Romo several times has had to side step pressure but you could count on one hadn the number of times its just been Romo running for his life.

Im not saying the line play has been elite especially in regards to the guard play but it certainly is not as bad as you represent.

PS I watch each game at least twice.

What world do you live in? Adams has been horrible for 2 years now and people like you with blinders on are part of the oline problem. Just like the coaches that stick with him for his "potential" and his past greatness (with LA beside him by the way). It's time people realize that he is an average lineman at best. Better than Torin Tucker but that's not saying much either. :banghead:

Adams is the least of our worries. The guard play has been our biggest weakness.

ROMO is looking down field.......

Yep got to keep spitter involved :)

Our weapons lend themselves to downfield passing so we use them

I believe it's a result of our WR getting open and Romo's gunslinger mentality of looking downfield. As long as he keeps completing 65-70% of his passes, that's just fine with me.

To me, his checkdown receiver is Witten. He seems to always go to him late in his reads.
