Mahomes is on ESPN right now

Seems like a great kid.
Once in a decade type arm, but I consider him definitely a work in progress.

Thoughts?

And no, Im not at all saying Dallas should take him.

I think he sneeks into the first. Wouldn't be surprised if Steelers/Giants take him.

The Patriot move here. Take Mahomes and reap a bounty in three years.
We can't afford it I know he's a real talent

If they cashed in on Garoppolo (Cleveland would give a ton) I'd say go for it.
Great scenario
But it sounds like they're holding onto him, so probably won't happen.

My opinion is he wont be a Cowboy, and if he goes to the wrong team, he'll be begging for work in three years.

Product of the system. Having a big arm is hardly all that matters. Just ask Jamarcus Russell.

If hes there at 28 we should be able to trade down a few spots and pick up a couple nice pics like Denver did last year. Theyl want the fifth year option, our pic will be coveted if any of the top 4 qbs are there at 28

Very small chance he hits for whoever takes him imo. Sure the arm talent is enticing, but I'd imagine he's going to have to be taught how to be an NFL QB from more or less square 1. Maybe he gets it and it all clicks and he becomes great, but I sure wouldn't want to invest a 1st round pick on that gamble.

I see Brett Farve potential, he is a natural gun slinger. I think he can be great if he isn't confined to the traditional pocket QB mold.

Hopefully either all the QBs are taken in the first 20 something picks (pushing the DE/DB down to Dallas) or else there's one or two left that Cleveland or others with high 2nd round picks just HAVE to have for that 5th year option. Number 28 is open for business.

Arm strength is overrated and has been a detriment to some players because they were overly reliant on it.

The QB on the top of many peoples all time great list had average at best arm strength.

Another hyped up Texas Tech QB.
Maybe this one will finally be the one.

The only early QB I like. If he goes to a competently run team like New Orleans, he'll be top tier.

Rumor is the Giants have a ton of interest in RD1. Hoping he goes earlier.

TT might be a QB stat inflating system, but sometimes great players end up in a system.

Of course.
It's only one in many factors, and certainly not at the top of the list.
It's one box he can check.

Been pumping him for years pre Dak. Said it a couple times in the past on here, but if Russell Wilson and Rothelesberger had a baby together it would be Mahomes. Kingsbury has killed his mechanics, but he's coachable and has the "it" factor. If the Gents nab him I will be sick!
