It's clear to me that he's the 2nd best WR. I've watched All-22 and have seen Dez actually play better against similar corners than the others mentioned. He just can't throw himself the ball.

To me, it's only unclear if you're looking at statistics. But, statistics don't tell the entire story for a receiver because if he's open he still needs a QB to deliver him the ball. He gets more open on double teams than anybody I've seen in the league. I would only take Megatron because he catches almost everything thrown his way due to his size and leaping ability. And I'm a big fan of AJ Green. Put AJ Green in single coverage and he becomes a major problem as he's a fantastic route runner. Double him and he's not beating the double as often as Dez. Same with Antonio Brown.

You're right, the QB does play a huge factor in the production and therefore the value of the receiver. Completely agree with that. AJ Green has had Andy Dalton throwing to him his whole career.

Peterson is just a bad matchup for Dez. For the physical freak that Dez is, Peterson is the only corner in the game that can actually match his athletic ability and size. Dez can't outathlete him like he does just about everyone else.

He would have easily with catch-able throws in his direction. Not darts to his feet, 2 yards behind him, etc. Dez schooled Sherman who is just as fast and agile as Peterson (though not the return athlete). Well take that back tbh...Peterson is a freak (measurables). But still believe Dez could easily put up a 100 against Peterson w/Romo or even a Kitna type backup.
