Pats fan here

Well this is a good board and and good luck the rest of the way. Cowboys will make the postseason without doubt imo. Very physical, a lot of playmakers, are way better than their record.

I wish I was as optimistic.

seeing a lead in the 4th quarter of every game this year, yet being 2-3 does wonders for removing that optimism.

I'm personally at a point where every good play goes uncelebrated as I watch for the yellow flag graphic to show up and wipe out the clapping all around me anyway.

it just feels like one of those snake bitten seasons where we are left wondering what if. a dangerous team is the nicest thing I can say about us 5 games in.

Welcome to the Zone.

Expect a loss when you face the Commanders.

Maybe if Grossmen isn't back starting, but Beck vs Brady? :lmao2::lmao2:

Home game. Although the Commanders don't have any home field advantage these days.

That pass/catch was deserving of a highlight. On the money as they say.

Once you grow up you will learn that you are a little slow.

Thanks.

I know it was a joke but I have never been a fan of the guy. Gross should say it all.

The Commanders suck, Your done Brady will light you up Thats a LOSS for you! cant wait to see them kick your tail all over the field.

Uh...okay. This is about the level of learning Garrett has displayed - :rake:

The Cowboys played very tough and NE feels fortunate to come out of that one with a win. I thought the home winning streak was over, and wasn't confident at all about a TD drive in the last 2 minutes given how hard the yardage was coming the whole 2nd half. Brady was great down the stretch, and Hernandez is really something - they were the difference.

Now having seen Dallas up close, this is a team that will compete for the NFC title in January. You have all the elements and now just need to put it together. In 2001, the Pats' 1st SB year, they started out 0-2 and 1-3 before getting it together and going on a run.

I think Garrett learned a lesson yesterday that you have to be more aggressive offensively with the game on the line against a good team. The offense is what wins and loses games in those situations - Cowboys had 2 great chances to put it away and played too cautiously. I think they won't make that mistake again.

Classy post, thanks.

Is it the John Beck era yet?

Thats a very relevant and timely question sir! The best QB in the East gets benched for a 2nd year vet! QB controversy in DC?

I don't know what hurts more. The loss, or the opposing team's fans coming here and embarrassing our own with level-headed, objective analysis.

Thanks 40yrpatsfan.

Thanks 40yrpatsfan.

I think the loss would hurt more if it wasn't New England.

so if we lose to st louis it won't hurt more?

at least we went the distance with a great team and *almost* had it. i'm just as weary of "almost" as the next person, but you have to crawl before you understand walking.

tired of the butt-nuggets who wanna fly w/o learning how.

With a 3 point lead, yes.

With a 24 point lead, No.

:hammer:

Why doesn't the man with the Princeton degree get this???

What you say Willis! Then how come every other New England fan you see thought it would go down EXACTLY the way it did.

if we had a dominant o line and a qb that didnt make mistakes at crucial times we would be there in january....and if we also didnt have an inexperienced playcaller...

This is a pretty spot on analysis 40yr. We have been discussing it a fair amount since the game ended. It seems that JG has had a few questionable approaches the last few games when Dallas had the advantage. Hopefully he will use the experience to take a different approach next time around.

No the loss would hurt a lot more if it were not New England...I was pretty upset because I hate that franchise but they're a good football team. It's not like we were the Skins dropping the first L against a Lions team that was previously 0-16 :D
