Pax Lynch. Even if we gave up our 2 and 3, Seahawks had rejected

I guess I know more than ole Jerry Jones who was weeping over this ... Sorry Jerry, you should study more before you waste your tears.

Not very much reported, but the Seahawks target, the reason they traded down was indeed for Germain Ifedi the OG from A&M. The Broncos sent their last pick in the 1st round No. 32 up to No. 26 for Lynch, and the Seahawks got Ifedi.. Who we would have drafted Paxton Lynch also for ..

As either the Seahawks reporter, or a fairly stout NFL reporter tweeted: the Seahawks had good intel that either the Browns or Titans had huge interest in Ifedi .. both picking in the second round just before the Cowboys and just after the Broncos who had the last pick 1st round.

They wouldn't have got Ifedi if they had traded with us - not sure but that was the risk they took. So they didn't call Stephen or Jerry back. Whether the Browns or Titans would have drafted Ifedi not sure, but they got their man.

As you know we offered them our 2nd and 4th and maybe they asked for our 2nd and 3rd and Stephen probably said call us maybe we can make a deal for our 2nd and 3rd . They didn't call back.

The Seahawks got Ifedi, the guy they wanted. So the Cowboys deal was off ..

Cowboys might have given them more value in trade, but they wanted that A&M dude.

So rest easy Cowboys in case Paxton Lynch is great. We couldn't have got him anyways. Unless our 2nd 3rd and 4th. Maybe that would have done the deal ..

No big deal. If we want a qb bad next year, we can take one in the 1st. (doubt it though, unless Prescott shows nothing)

Care care to provide a link? There's some logic here, but our third was way higher than the Broncos's.

Sounds like a great spot to have offered Leary.

Discussed this after the draft. Seattle wanted a first rounder to indeed get Ifedi. All true.

May have been able to get him by offering next year's first, but that would have been overpaying. I'm glad they didn't do that. It just wasn't in the cards.

It was Carson Wentz or bust for me.

Glad we didn't draft any of these other guys. I prefer the unknown then any of the Paxton Lynch and on down QBs.

I wanted Wentz too and then Goff but hopefully Prescott turns out to be good.

Sorry no link it was in the flurry of draft day links. It was a pro reporter who put it there not a fan. The reporter had talked in the hall to a Seahawks draft guy. It wasn't reported later even in Seattle newspapers etc. Well I have to do it here. .. Who else would report the morning of Day 2 saying the Seahawks wanted only the A&M dude and not anybody they could draft pick later .. he was defending the Hawks.

Maybe the last time Muhammad Ali was in Dallas was around about 95-96 over at the jazz club on Routh St. - it had several names but around about that time it was called Cedar Street - a real posh club then. I had been there Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday drinking my *** off trying to make time with the girl up front pretty hot - and Ali was there Thursday - the only day I didn't come - making friends with everybody that happened in shaking hands he was there for some kind of friend that had something to with the club maybe professionally and maybe Ali was promoting it. His Parkinson's wasn't too bad then I guess. All my friends there (so called friends) and they were kicking my *** for missing Muhammad Ali and how he was so cordial to everyone. They bragged how I had missed him. I said "thanks mofos."

Leary is probably a better OG than their targeted player. It was my understanding that Dallas never offered a 2nd and a 3rd. Jerry seemed sure that the Seahawks would have taken the deal when he was interviewed the day after the trade fell through.
