MM said he had no problem with the play he said he told him next time run it 10 yards. I read between the lines Dak ran it like he practiced MM being the great coach he is evaluated the result and coached him up.

McCarthy said we practiced this play veery week. Yet Dak doesn't know to give the ball to the ref not center?? Great coaching there, Mike.

Again, the ball didn't have to go to the ref.

well here he is saying dak, kellen, mike messed up, that a pass would be better as it is quicker, and that they didnt know the rules well enough to
run that play lol.
And he is right, although I still think a run out of bounds is better because no spike.
also a lateral to another cowboy which conveniently goes out of bounds would be a good play

he was walking 30 yards behind Dak at the time of the slide. Which was obviously the most efficient way to handle it according to Blandino! lol

Definitely the best way to handle it if you got things to do and you want the game to be over.
Just let the time run down, run into the quarterback Don't spot the ball game over get out of Dodge

I don't want a coach who's a Dak hater!
Maybe that's what we need. ;)

Not to bring him down but finally get him off his arse and take his part of the responsibility. Win us over through performance, not so called "leadership" Tweets.

You don't have to get the ref the ball but it's the most efficient thing to do. What else is efficient is don't try to line up ahead of the actual line of scrimmage so the ball doesn't have to be re-spotted moving your whole team back and having to re-set. The Line Judge on the sideline shows you where they are wanting to mark the ball. Look at him and get behind him to avoid strict adherence. The refs cut the Cowboys a break by allowing a spot ahead of what the Line Judge set because they should have had to move the entire team back and time would have expired anyway. If it's true they practice this, they need to add the above helpful hints and hope the team doesn't panic like they did.

Or the ref closest to the ball could have just cane in and touched like we've seen since, the probably there's no sop in how the refs operate in that situation, so there was no absolute way to do it.

It was a stupid play call and the execution was so laughably bad that everybody except Fat Mike and Wonder Boy realize this.

Somebody needs to tell Wonder Boy that just because the play worked on Madden the night before doesnt mean it is going to work in an NFL playoff game. And Fat Mike should have slapped the headphones off Wonder Boy for even suggesting they run this play but he was too busy downloading the new Whataburger app on his phone to notice.

All true if that was the official that was responsible for spotting the ball he needed to keep up with the freaking play.

He showed a total lack of urgency with only a few seconds left and squandered our opportunity as slim as it may have been
It should be never on the refree to follow the play, Dak should have slided earlier closer to the refree and immediately handed the ball or try to cut it to outside , we had receivers against the DBs on the sideline . A courtesy block by each receiver and Dak sprinting to sideline would have shaved atleast 5-6 sec.

Why of course the fans come to see the referees the players should work around them.
Most definitely team should work their plays around the limitations of the referees we don't want to stress these guys or force them to keep up with any place in a playoff game with millions of people watching on TV.

Heck this is a kinder gentler NFL now we don't want to overstress the referees. The players and coaches should take all this into consideration with only a few seconds left in the game and just concede the victory to the other team so we don't inconvenience the referee in any way.

Sheesh!!!
