Am I going to be the 1st person to post that Payton's offence was awful. I'm gld we dodn't end up with someone lacking so many ideas leading us for the future....

etc.... etc....

What did he do with ALL that talent at his disposal...etc...etc...

Just playing with the fickle nature exhibited by some on this board. I'm sure that double standards will bounce around....

:bomb:

I, for one, am glad that BP has returned. I also think that Sp did a great job this year. I am in the category of glass half full.... I see many positives behind BP staying despite the flaws.

People, allow this thread to die. Even I'm tired of defending BP endlessly!!

Chrissyboy, in the span of 1 year Sean Peyton turned over 37 players on a 3-13 roster and played for the NFC CHampionship. When Reggie Bush scorec to make it 16-13 Bears, I really thought the Saints were going to win it.

Compare this accomplishment to 4 years of roster churning that led us to the same place we started from. Oh wait; it wasn't quite where we started from: Our first year under BOP we were 10-6 w/ a first game PO loss. After 4 years we are 9-7 w/ a first game PO loss.

Goes to show you what a lousy GM Jerry really is: He kept BP and let Peyton go...

So shouldn't people see what Payton does next season? I'm not a blame the coach kind of guy, the Saints didn't play smart. The lesser Bears (imop) played smart almost mistake free football. That's what it takes in todays NFL.

Amen...This post should be "Put away the Annoiting Oil" Sorry, but the game plan stunk and the Saints lost to the Bears. Like I said, let's see what Peyton did today and guess what...he didn't produce....So, we'll see what happens next year when every one else figures out his offense....

It will be interesting to see if he can keep it going, or if it was just a flash in the pan one year feel good story.

I glad to see they didn't make it this year for several reasons. The "Katrina" story had gotten real old. A football team isn't going to erase the utter destruction that occurred. To act like in some way it would have was over the top. Plus I didn't want Payton to win it his first year after leaving Dallas and especially after the way he rubbed it in against us last month.

It was definitely good to see that smarmy little smirk wiped off his face.
