Onside kick was a bit of a stretch at that point, and i thought it was a bit classless.

I also thought the "kneel down" at 3 minutes to go was really classless... please... if you DON'T want to score then you call a couple of "soft" running plays up the middle.

Sean will get his eventually.

All that being said, i still give him credit for a heck of a game plan vs. us.

I just thought the 1st two things i mentioned were questionable.

Yeah, I thought the onside kick was actually classless. There really was no need for it. That being said, I still like Payton.

so you would have rathered Payton run Bush and McAllister up the middle and score another touchdown? You are really reaching now.

he's young and brash (and does stupid things like Tuna spoke about in free agency) that will hurt him in the long run. he doesn't seem to grasp the marathon concept. save that onside play.

tonight you just gotta swallow the bitter pill and get ready for ATL. payton is a good coach but he'll be badly exposed sooner than later. if not by the cowboys by another team.

I agree. Those plays bothered me too.

The Cowboys were only losing by 14 points when they tried the onside. It was a brillant move to put the game away. Payton outcoached Parcells. He didn't do it to rub it in his formers team's face, he was just trying to put this game away and he did.

Agreed about the onside kick.

The kneel downs with 3:00 to go could be taken 2 ways....that he doesn't want to run up the score, or it's the ultimate slap in the face. Like "See how bad we are beating you? I'll kneel it down with 3:00 left.".

I thought the onside kick when ahead by 18 was a bit much. The kneel down wasn't as bad, we did it a couple of weeks ago. He could have taken his starters out on that drive if he didn't want to score on us.

had the Cowboys run the kickoff back for a touchdown, what would you have thought then?

Initially I was pissed at SP.

But hey, he did his job. This was a big game for the NO franchise, and he pulled out all the stops. We all knew there would be at least 1 trick play up his sleeve.

The problem lies with us, not SP. We're the ones who misses the assignments, tackles, ints, poorly gameplanned, etc., etc., etc.

The onside kick was fine. There was plenty of time in the game, and Romo could have brought us back. Stop being so sensitive.

It was 18 at 35-17.

I have no problems with the onside kick. We were only down 18. 18 is not that big of a lead. If we get the ball and score. Guess what, it's down to 11.

Stop complaining.

You should be happy they kneed it at the end, since they could have easily scored another td. There was nothing wrong with that call.

Get over it.

You act like he onsides kicked with 2 minutes left in the game. It was the middle of the third quarter with a three score lead. Brilliant call.

makes it all that much more stupid to give Romo a short field being so worried and all about an 18 pt lead. lol.

it was an unnecessary, lucky gamble (use it when you're not dominating)

I guess it depends on how insecure you are......

Like the poster before you said.....putting the game away so there is not chance for comeback is smart move (and most would agree).

As far as kneeling it with 3:00 minutes remaining.....would you have rather he scored? Then you would have said how he was "classless" for running it up. How can he win in that situation for you to say he was doing what he was "supposed" to do.
