Payton put up 450 plus yards on the #9 defense today.

Zimmer held the #1 offense to 128 total yards.

Maybe they don't suck.

No, they don't suck.

But just wait TD, and I am sure you will soon read:

The reason they did so well was they listened to 'us'.

Because JJT reads this board and he does commiserate with Parcells weekly.

:laugh2:

I laughed all week at the folks that kept talking about how we needed to get rid of Parcells....and Zimmer.

Now, we'll see how Parcells was sooo smart. I'm sure we'll read posts how Parcells has been playing opossum all this time....and that he's the greatest coach ever.

Maybe. But maybe BP had his hand on the game plans a little bit more...

Who knows.

We played a nice mix of conservative with a bit off funk in there. Thats what was vital. Defensively we didnt really lay off. FInally ZImmer gets it.

But, Payton also opened up the playbook today like people here -- and at a lot of places -- have been clamoring for for weeks. He's shown he can call good plays, just look at the San Diego game. But when you know the team has a ton of weapons offensively and just chooes not to use them, it gets pretty frustrating.

Bledsoe also appeared to made some great audibles today. He made the best call of the day in the third quarter when he read a blitz and checked to a quick screen to Crayton that netted a first down. Amazing game

I've probably been as hard on the assistants as anyone here all week, I'm glad to eat some crow now. Of course, I can't say that my helping is too large because the very thing I've been clamoring for us to do we finally did and it worked.

Now the key is.....continue to use the talent we have and not bottle them up again.

The coaching staff had a very good day.

But they've had some bad days this season, too.

It's not all or nothing.

We all have our off days ..... Andy Reid :muttley:

The key is to have more days like today and less of the bad ones. I do find it interesting that after a few days of clamoring by players such as Bledsoe and Campbell to open the game in more of an attacking mode, that Purcells and Payton seemed to do just that.
