Why did he stubbornly send Julius over right tackle in the 4th quarter? It was getting stuffed time and again.

But on the touchdown drive he popped one or two runs too.

Our playcalling sucked today IMHO.....run,run,....pass.......and we ran to the side they were blitzing.....notice Brees sometime audibled and ran the play to the other side.....Bledsoe never made that adjustment....or doesn't have the power to do so.

You have to continue running the ball...especially in the offense Bill wants to run. Even if it not getting big yards it opens up play action passes and stops the lineman from just rushing the passer.

Run on first down every possession in the 2nd half. What's the point? All I kept screaming was for a play action just 1 time!!!

When calling plays, you are trying to set up a big play...for some reason, Payton saw something on the left side and was trying to draw the linebacker up so that he could go left when he had to...its not always about the play they are calling, but the next few he has in mind to try and get a big play...

Running is what we do, we will be committed to it, live and die by it, because running is what helped us, do you think it was a rest for the chargers D when they had to continue to chrage through the line and attakc Julius, when the corners constantly had to battle WR to shed blocks, running opens up the passing, in the end we won, in the end it was back to back runs by JJ that set up the key TD, stop crying

I think the continued insistence on establishing the run led to the 8-10 yard run JJ made to the goal line at the end.

Buck and Troy commented the D-line for SD looked tired.

How soon we forget Jack Reilly and Bruce Coslet.

I thought the play-calling was pretty good today. 28 points on a good team. All of the receivers made plays.

I'm sure Purcells had a huge influence on the play-calling, but I thought Payton did a good job.

Brees has a year in the system over Bledsoe...maybe in due time. What is Bill's QB audible history?

We ran the ball, 3 different WRs came up big today. They(SD) took Witten out of the O

I completely agree. I can't remember the last time that we had 3 receivers with really good games. Bledsoe looked good, JJ looked good. It isn't as if we knew which side SD was going to blitz from before we called the play. Great game, I hope they celebrate it tonight and start preparing for Washington tomorrow.

Because it finally resulted in two consecutive 10 yard runs

What killed me on that play is that they actually had the linemen in position for it to work and they were pushed back into JJ.

I was hoping JJ looked for the cut back lanes, which were there all day. SD overpursued a lot.

Damn guys you make it sound like we just lost. There was nothing wrong with the play calling you want be coaches, some of you guys get me with your notion that you know how to run this office. 28 points and a victory put that in your pipe and smoke it. And as far as the smart ars remarks towards Bledsoe 3 TD passes NO Ints. Damn good game Drew!!!

I was sreaming for the play action just ONCE in the fourth. The Chargers were committing to the run blitz so hard it would have left receivers wide open. I think when they review the game tape they will see it.
