With Ratliff out, I expected to see Pepper move up from the PS. Any word on him that I missed?

My guess is Coleman will dress in place of Ratliff. I think we only see Pepper if Ferguson or Glover is hurt.

Each week it will be a decision between Coleman and Johnson.
And, yes, Johnson made the 53 man roster (which was a surprise to me at the time).

"Pepper" made the roster cause he really impressed Parcells in TC & preseason games. Reporters alleged stated Parcells had said "God was good to him in sending Johnson to him". I think Parcells would have put Johnson on the PS if he could cause the kid still needs development but Parcells felt other teams would have seen enough in Johnson to claim Johnson off the waiver wire if we tried to get Johnson to our PS. I think we won't see Johnson unless either Feguson or Glover get injuried cause Johnson is their backup. That's why I'm not sure Cowboys will go after another NG either in FA or the draft. Parcells might project Johnson as a backup/starter NG in 1-2 years. BTW: Johnson can also play DE but again I think he needs more development. Johnson has not been active for any game so far this season, but of course Parcells is tracking his development in the practices.

Pepper may become a very important spice before the season is over.......

idk how this is going to all work out, the main reason Ratliff dressed on gameday, and took plays from Coleman, was because he was quick, and able to rush the passer, which is not a strength of Coleman's, I think we may see some of Pepper because he can fill the role in the rotation we lose with Ratliff on IR, and which Coleman can't provide, we'll see alot of COleman rotating for Spears when we face running teams though

Coleman and Ratliff are not interchangeable.

What we will likely see is Canty or Spears playing nickel DT...which is where Ratliff was playing...with Ogbogu playing some nickel DE.

With Ogbogu active he backs up Ware at WOLB and can spell in the nickel 4 man line, thus he replaces two active spots...Singleton and Ratliff...allowing us to carry and extra OL or DB.
