I kind of hope this a smokescreen. Either of those guys 4th round or below I think would would make good rotation guys in the are look fairly scheme diverse.

I have a bias against LSU prospects. Just seems like for a school that wins so much and is considered a force every year, they sure seem to have a lot of guys that don't amount to a hill of beans in the NFL. I'm not bummed that they don't want either of those guys, particularly in this draft.

Everyone thought that about brockers, he got ripped on here and has turned into a solid, bordering on pro bowl dt.
They may not be quick twitch (over used term)but if anyone thinks they arent an upgrade on mcclain, hayden etc is wrong imo

Is LSU the defensive line equivalent to Wisconsin's OL? Every year they have highly rated guys, but they hardly ever seem to live up to their hype.

I know one Wisconsin OL that has exceeded his hype. Glad he is on this team.

Do you really think the Cowboys are telling Broaddus who they like and don't like in the upcoming draft?

Its easy to pinpoint all of the busts for LSU because they put so many players into the draft every year. Same with Bama. Both schools produce a ton of NFL talent, based on sheer statistics of the draft in general a good % of those guys aren't going to make pan out. No different from any other school, just on a larger scale.

With that said, I could do without either 1 of these guys. Ferguson could probably make a solid 1 tech though

I'm with ya on LSU and add Alabama.

I don't know who "The Cowboys" is, but Broaddus definitely talks to guys in the know there and he's gotten useful info before. He was on Wilcox well before anyone else. Not that it matters. Even if it's just his speculation on these two, I agree with it for the most part.

Broaddus is an avid LSU fan.
If he says the Cowboys are out on those guys they really are.

If he was selling those two we might wonder if he was talking more personally or more team-wise but it is clear here it the team's take.

Ego and Johnson just didn't get a ton of snaps because the LSU depth chart has been so good at DT.
Not sure either plays with the stamina or intensity you want at the next level.

Sometimes it is less about athleticism and more about running through brick walls play after play.

I hope it's true because LSU has put nothing but duds in the NFL along the defensive line!

Ala Marcus Spears and although the jury is still out, Claiborne?
