He's got some of the quickest feet. My favorite first down of the year.

stockier?

cole beasley: 5' 8" 180
wes welker: 5' 9" 185
tavon austin 5' 8" 176
desean jackson 5' 10" 178

whew ya, bunch of stockier there! lol

That may be their listed measurables, I don't know...I haven't checked, but Beasley looks pretty frail in comparison. With the exception of Jackson, who is also a rare talent.

When I look at him I just don't see a little guy. He's a mini-MDJ. I love his talent and his will and attitude.

I wish we could've somehow stole him away in the past, but seeing his family, and knowing Charlotte, NC, I can totally understand why he would never leave.

I like to see player loyalty. And having roots in the community is a good thing.

And that's the worst thing about crowding the LOS; you let the guy go free. TBF, he was defending the inside; still he was used and abused. PS: it appears he was trying to take the inside away. On second thought he screwed it up so badly I'm not certain what he was doing.

Wes Welker, Steve Smith although he's bigger now, Darren Sproles, Dexter McCluster, DeSean Jackson, Tavon Austin (early still), Danny Amendola, and Lance Moore now. The Smurfs were excellent. Steve Largent was a little taller and 10 lbs heavier. Gary Clark. Alworth was 6 ft but only 180. Tommy McDonald was a great WR. Santana Moss. Randal El.

Beasly can be successful.
But none excepted Maybe dexter mccluster are true comps.
Everyone else on that list is either bigger, taller, or faster. Or all three.

But he'll be fine anyway.

He's virtually impossible to cover. The guy is wide open ALL THE TIME. Waterbug is the usual term. He's bizarrely quick. On top of that, that head fake before cutting left can't be taught. He's just a natural and fooling people with his body movements.

Pitch and catch to Beasley. He's got a good niche role as that 4th option behind Dez, Williams, and Witten. 5th option if you count Murray.

Beasley is going to win one on one vs. the opponent's dime/quarter package DBs 9.8 times out of 10.

really excited to see how they use the WR's this year. I like the talent of them all. Even Street & Boyd.....

IMO, Cole is a freak. For him to play at the level he does... dude has super skills.
Coupled with Written, the boys should own the field between the hash marks.... which in turn, makes the big plays outside and up top much easier. The Boys are on the verge of having all the pieces in place for a dynamic offense.
