Thanks Jason Garrett for not using screen passes, bootlegs and short passing routes and especially for your inability to stop a blitz up the middle... Thanks for letting Tony Romo take a beating, for never having a game where, being so far up, that Tony Romo could sit the last quarter of a game...

"Cyst".............

I have serious doubts it was actually a cyst that was worked on. The long recovery, the lack of zip and Romo's frequency in diving. Anyone remember the 2nd half of the KC game where Romo basically couldn't throw the ball at all, just misfired to Witten like 3 times in a row?

Just seems a bit much.

We sure do seem snake bit on signing players to long contracts.

The 'Boys who cried wolf.

And they effectively lose whatever credibility they had at one time.

Absolutely. Curious to see who is going to perform the surgery. Aikman got one of the best in the country when he had his in 1993. Given how they treated the Ratliff situation, it makes you really wonder.

I like Romo, I dread trying to replace him especially given "the final decision maker."

This is why you never ever pay age. $108 million to a soon to be 34 year old coming off 2 back surgeries.

Jerry outdoes himself yet again.

At least he's no Irsay. That guy gave a 5 year 90 million contract to a guy coming off multiple neck surgeries who never played a down before they released him.

I think this has moved to the number one reason why I hate Garrett.... He did nothing in a game to ever protect his QB.

Got nothing to do with crying wolf or credibility. Crying wolf would actually be the oppositie in this case. Who cares what they knew, when they knew it, or what they disclosed, when they disclosed it? They had the plan to go with Orton all along, and they did what they could to throw smoke in front of it. Maybe they actually believed Romo might be able to play this week. But it's not like they weren't preparing internally for Orton to play. Any team in their situation would do the same thing. Do you think, if NE were in the same position, that Belichek would have just come out on Monday and say that Brady was done, knowing what would be at stake this week? No, he'd play it out, and make whoever they were playing think about it as much as he could until he had to make the call.

I'm sorry if you feel deceived.

It was Drew Dossett, who has worked with the Cowboys forever and I'm pretty sure did Aikman's also.

Absolutely.

Troy said back problems was one of the reasons he retired when he did.
I'm pretty sure the fact that his brain had turned to applesauce probably played a role as well.

Let's not forget though, about Troy, that he tried out for the Chiefs and they didn't sign him. He didn't have the talent anymore either.

He must have been in serious discomfort because if not, I'm sure he would have wanted to be on the sideline to support his teammates.

The shot wearing off in the Chiefs game, the "Romo is better now" statement from Ware before we played Denver and the accurate bombs and mobility Romo displayed in that game. There's no doubt that some injury has been an issue off and on all season, and it finally got to the breaking point.
