Sportscenter just said Joe Horn was released. Details coming up later. I don't have a link or anything.

What do you guys think?

I think his time is done in this league and at this point id rather have any of our receivers over him.

I'd take him WITH our WR's.

It's hard to be a productive WR in Atlanta right now. :star:

As far as Joe Horn, I think we can wait for Austin to come back. With Hurd's consistency and Austin's improvement, we are stronger at receiver than people give us credit for.

And so it begins on a desolute Tuesday in August. An innocent Cowboys fan expects a rather mundane day.

POW!

Right upside the melon with a Joe Horn to Dallas solution.

I need a bandaid.

Don't know why we are so closed minded to this right now, bring him in, if he beats someone out, keep him.

If he sucks like alot think he does, cut him. Not really a big deal, more of a Jerry decision on whether to bring him in or not.

If we take him we are in more dire straits at WR then I thought.

I think that if a defender were to land a solid lick on Horn's legs/knees, it would be very probable that we would be looking at another Terry Glenn scenario much like last season.

Of course hes not Joe Horn anymore, hes more like Joe nub(Skip Bayless told me to say that)

But Ill take this guy over Amendola.

He was a little more than meh in Atlanta w/ Hostile at QB.

I wouldnt cry if we dont go after him though. Maybe its a better idea to wait & see who else gets cut

I would bring him in for a workout see what he has left and go from there.

I'm fine with a workout, what's the worst that could happen? As long as we aren't tied to him for more than a year and aren't over paying.

That said, I'd prefer adding Amendola to the roster, despite the fact he hasn't done much so far.

Amendola then needs to step it up. Right now he would be lucky to be placed on the practice squad. I do think if Dallas feels the need to get a vet WR for insurance it will be nothing more than a 1 to 2 year deal

If a talent starved team like ATL cuts someone before the third preseason game, that player wouldn't make our final 53 regardless of the position he plays.

On espn his agent says he was begging to be released since the start of training camp.

You're not wrong, but the whole world knows there's a lot more going on over in Atlanta that talent starvation.

And yes Doom, Amendola needs to step up. But I don't think he lasts on our Practice Squad, a team will scoop him and put him on their roster like we have Stanback even though he has been unable to give us much so far.
