Does this individual have any discernible talent or purpose to his existence? He appears to be a "manufactured celebrity" with no clear reason for his status. It does not appear that he can sing, dance, or otherwise entertain, so why the attention?

I don't know much about him other than that he reports gossip in Hollywood and he's made some people angry.

Deserve probably has nothing to do with it, it seems more like the joy of knowing that it happened.

Not that I really know who this guy with the fluorescent hair is or even care if he got popped, but it looks that way to me: some guy who has to be obnoxious/insulting/rude to get attention and someone whom he offended gave him a bust in the chops. Such are the hazards of the profession, I guess.
