-I love Dez more than anyone but his inability to get separation from corners and droughts in the middle of games is starting to concern me. I see a player that's closer to $10million/yr than $15million. What say you?

-If Cole Beasley is as good as some claim he is, he should have taken over that type of game. He is someone I'm still looking to upgrade next year.

-After yesterday's game I'm officially 100% on the AP to Dallas bandwagon. If AP is cut and willing to take a paycut, he needs to be in a Dallas uniform next season. I say this because of Murray's salary demands, his fumble issues, and his inability to run in open space. Felt like he left some yards out there again.

-Anthony Spencer is either really rusty or he's done folks. Sad I expected more from him. I remember Broaddus predicting 2 sacks in his first game back.

-Kyle Wilber and CJ Spillman are two players that I wish we would upgrade immediately. Wilber is a terrible football player. Soft and never makes plays. The dropoff from Durant to him is mind boggling and part of the reason I wouldn't mind a trade today. I want to see Jakar Hamilton active next week over Spillman.

-Wilcox's interception gave me some hope for the future. He had a good game imo.

-Please stop the McClain - Sean Lee comparisons. McClain looked lethargic out there and basically cost us several drives with his poor tackling. I think the whole defense was shocked by Washington's physicality. They have some big backs that are difficult to take down but their slender tight ends were also successful shaking tackles.

-Dwayne Harris' value continues to plummet. I think all those monster hits he took the last few years has worn down his body. I also think the guys in front of him are doing a poor job this year.

-Chris Jones is lucky he's Bailey's holder.

The sky is falling! Smh. One bad game and you want an overhaul. Just relax. Did you really expect everyone to play perfect the whole season? Did you expect them to not lose anymore games? If anything, it was poor playcalling and game adjustments by not handling the blitz and not sticking with the run in OT. And if you haven't checked, AP has fumble issues as well.

I agree with most of what you say. Dez should have done more in that game. He dropped a TD.

Murray is my biggest issue. A runner like AP with this line would have run for 300 last night. I'm not exaggerating. Even when Murray hit the hole clean and ran straight ahead for 51 he got caught. With AP that is an easy TD. Another run had Martin pancaking a guy 10 yards downfield and Murray seeks contact with his own player (Harris). Again AP takes that to the hizzy. The sideline run where he wound up fumbling, AP runs down the sideline untouched to the end zone. And the fumbles are killing the offense they've been lucky to overcome them until tonight.

McClain was bad.

well if we get rid of everyone who had a poor game last night we will not have a team. They played poor but it is one game, we have a 6-2 team who has played pretty well up to this point and now we lose a game and panic and hysteria follows. In the Words of Aaron Rodgers RELAX. lol

AR isn't saying that anymore. They got spanked Sunday night. And he got hurt. I think he said OUCH.

  • Yep. They were going to go 15-1.
  • McClain was going to make every tackle and play LT-like the remainder of the year because we all know players from AL don't need off-season programs.
  • Beasley was going to have his Wes Welker year.
  • Tony was never going to throw another INT.
  • The O-line is all world and would never, ever, ever give up a sack because they have the best back in the history of the game going for them right now.
So what the problem is???:flagwave:

you can keep AP, yes Murray fumbled but was it his fault that in OT he got 7-8 yards first carry and we went 3 pass plays after that. Was it his fault that we have ran a 2 TE a lot this year but did not last night against a blitz happy Skins team? Last night we went back to being the Cowboys of old, poor tackling, sloppy execution, out coached, owner on the sideline in the middle of the freaking game .... there is enough blame to go around.

This is where the wheat begins it's separation from the chaff.
The meat of the season is where the real evaluations get into full gear and decisions will have to be made for the next year.

NOW is when players will start to show their colors and hard decisions can be the true medicine to this team's ills.

I look forward to this team's present and it's near-future.

McClain is better than Lee (so far this season). Maybe better is a stretch, but they're equally great. McClain had a bad game yesterday, but he was still around the ball all game and still made a bunch of plays. His movement was quite good I thought on run plays, he got to the ball carrier many times but was unable to finish plays. I've posted this in other threads but I'll say it here: There's a difference between getting sealed all game by linemen and getting to the ball carrier then missing the tackle. Both are bad, but at least getting to the RB shows that you are recognizing plays and shedding blocks. Again, McClain had a bad game, but he just had a bad day in the tackling department, it happens sometimes. It is easier to correct a day of bad tackling vs. not being able to read plays.

point is people are quick to panic or in some cases are just eager to jump on the Cowboys because of certain agendas they have in what the team should or should not do. Dallas lost that sucks, Dallas played poorly that too sucks but Dallas is also 6-2 right now and still in full control of their own destiny.

Dallas is at the half way point in their season sitting at 6-2 I doubt many of the same who are in a tizzy today even thought Dallas would be in that position.

I know what the point is. Fans are just disappointed. That was a horrid effort against a bad team. We'll see how they fare against a good team. They're starting to get beat up a little.

It's simple, the coaches and players either were not prepared or they were looking at the Cardinals game already. How else to you explain an entire team wetting the bed at the same time?

True Dallas will face another team that many will again claim we have no chance at winning. I still find it funny the people complaining the most are the people who did not think Dallas would do anything and sure as hell not be 6-2 right now. lol

I agree about Dez, it seems as if you have a corner thats physical, then you can take Dez out with no safety help.
