Pete Hunter thought he was a starting CB and he almost was. But we brought in Henry and Hunter thought he was too good to move to FS where he could have been quite good. So he got released by the Cowboys and then picked up by the Jets then released before the season. Since then no one has heard from him. He hasn't signed with another team. I wonder why. He showed some potential. I wonder if he is still avialable? I bet he wouldn't mind playing some safety now. We should have signed him instead of Dixon and Lynn Scott. Thoughts? Information on Pete?

I'm thinking Hunter burned any bridges leading back to Dallas. It's a shame, I really thought he could make a solid FS. I wouldn't mind if they brought him back.

Hunter seemed like a good guy when I spoke with him at Oxnard.......I wish he would have tried FS.......I believe management is upset with him......he is done.

apparently not very much potential, as the Jets didnt hardly give him a shot and nobody else has been remotely interested in the guy

I think he'll show back up next year in somebodies camp. Who knows, maybe he might be a bit more willing to play some FS.

Most surprising thing about Pete is that he was such a humble guy and would do anything to get to play before he got drafted. Don't know who got to him etc., but he sure developed a big head after couple of years in NFL.

I mean, he apparently ran with a torn shoe etc., when the scout or coach went there to scout him, saying he will do anything to prove he can play etc. But after the injury, I think he believed too much in himself, without coaches thinking that way. Now he wrote the ticket out of the league most likely. What an idiot.

Ralph can stay at home. He could have been the starting FS for the Dallas Cowboys, but he cried his way out of making the switch. Now he's sitting on his butt.

One thing though...we didn't release him, we traded him to the Jets for a draft pick.

This is the kind of guy BP might give another chance to once the season is over -- but not now.

True, but since he was released by the Jets, I don't think that we get a pick from them.

Yeah, it was a conditional pick based on playing time.,

As unbelievable as it sounds -- we got a 6th in 2007 for him -- that's unconditional -- its our pick now.

Wow, it almost sounds like we made a trade with the Dolphins for that kind of crap to payoff ratio.

It was essentially the same deal we gave for Fujita. One definite 6th round pick and one conditional 7th the following year. The 6th is ours but we won't get the 7th.

Why do people still think Hunter would have been the starting FS for us this year? Are all other GM's blind then? Are WE, over the internet, the only ones who know this little secret?

A starting quality FS sitting at home? Come on ... you guys crack me up.

Fujita was a starter -- Hunter was coming off major knee surgery and, aside from a good game in his rookie year, never really did anything. That we got something for him at all just blows my mind.

If the jets continue to go into the tank that could be a decent pick.

Hunter is not on an NFL roster for a very good reason.

He's garbage.

In fact, I don't see how you guys have the slightest bit of remorse for any of the players that we were fortunate enough to be able to purge that were on the team from 2000-2002.

Anybody that was worth keeping is still here.

Anybody that's gone has no business being on a winning team.
