I'm in love:

"Prescott, of course, has been a godsend. A DUI arrest in March (he was later cleared) pushed him down draft boards, and he’s been the best quarterback by far in the NFL preseason—whatever that means. His 137.8 rating and .780 accuracy rate have blown away the Cowboys. In some ways, he’s almost been too perfect. This story from training camp reflects that: In an 11-on-11 period late in practice, the offense had 10 seconds left to score, and Prescott was the quarterback with the first unit. He passed to Dez Bryant, and Bryant was supposed to out of bounds immediately so the clock would stop or go to the ground so the offense could call a timeout. But Bryant tried to score instead, was stopped, and the clock ran out. Prescott ran to him and said words to this effect: We know you’re the best receiver in the world and you MIGHT score, but we can’t take that chance. You gotta use your head and get the clock stopped. That’s a rookie, talking to Dez Bryant. And Bryant, to his credit acknowledged Prescott was right. Prescott grew a lot in the eyes of the starting offense, and the coaches, that day."

Do our damn coaches even do this?!?!?

decision making in a pinch - hearing a lot of good things on him here.

i liked drafting dak just cause the name was cool. dak attack and stuff. outside that i didn't know much about him but what i am finding, maybe he was 4th on our list, but he's ours now.

Impressive.

That was an understated strength of Romo's - being able to almost be a calming force on Dez so that when he had an issue with Dez or needed something from him, Dez would immediately buy in. If Prescott already has that type of effect on Dez, that's a big plus.

Prescott is going to need Dez to be all in and have one of his best seasons yet.

I love every story I've heard about Dak so far. Like Peter King said, it's almost too good to be true. I hope the clock doesn't strike 12 causing Cinderella to lose her slipper. I hope he can handle the inevitable insanity that will ensue with the regular season, whether we're winning or losing. I hope the defense steps up and plays their hearts out for this guy. I think the offense can succeed with him, but special teams and D need to take some of the pressure off of him.

for dak to win games the TEAM is going to have to support him and do their job and do it well or we will still lose lots of games.
After hearing Brice Butler talk about going into the huddle with Cassel, i believe now more than ever the team quit on him. He said something to the effect of "when we go into the huddle with Dak, we know we have a chance and he can carry us. its not like last year when we would go into the huddle and be like aw hell no. "

I can't remember the last time a rookie QB was this far along, this soon.

Any rookie QB who can get a seasoned vet like Dez to admit he screwed up has something on the ball in my book. Dak is an intelligent and heady guy who isn't afraid to let his opinion be heard. It also speaks volumes in terms of Dak's leadership and ability to communicate acceptably. This is the type of QB players will do whatever it takes for.

There is a new Sheriff in town and his name is Dak Prescott. Poor Dez. Mental midget that he is.
