How do the coaches get blamed for Dak stepping up in practice and telling Dez to get out of bounds? The coaches scream that kind of stuff till they're blue in the face, but we're supposed to believe the fans that have an agenda against coach/coaches that only the players run the asylum? Convenient to say the least.

Dak did his job! Plain and simple.

Thank You!!!

Both tony and dak could be accepted leaders, but they may "like" dak more than tony.
They may also tend to believe in dak more than tony, and dak may be more likable in several ways.
There are different styles of leadership also, so player may favor daks style.

One thing I noticed was even the OL seemed to pass protect better for dak than tony.

Up till now all the players had was tony if they wanted to win, but now they have this new guy dak.

As fans all we had was tony, and if he got hurt that was it for winning till he came back, and now we have Dak !
I suggested a QB competition week or so ago, and got roasted, but now more are seeing that it is just that now.

Dak has a chance to take tony's job if he plays great in these first 2-3 games.

Dak had all of the tools, especially leadership/intangibles.

What I really liked, though, was his athletic skillset. He will force this coaching staff to do different things instead of just lining up and running the same stuff Romo runs.
Well I dont know we havent seen that in PS, so dont count on anything different or for dak in reg games.
I would use his running skills, but I doubt they will.

Slow down there. Nobody blocked any harder for Dak than they did for Tony. Dak has had 3 very good pre-season games. But the thing about pre-season games is that they're just pre-season games. There's no competition. Yeah, if Dak looks special, they team could go with him. But that doesn't mean it's a competition today. And it's not likely it will be at any point this season.

Well it really depends on if dak starts against the giants, how good does he do, and do they win the game?
That is the first step.
Anytime a bkup gets to take over for a injured player, it is a competition. and the bkup can win that starting job, like murray did , brady, curt warner etc.
I think the injury to Romo came at a bad time for him, right as the new guy is biting at his heels, he gets hurt on 3rd play of the game!
Bad timing, and people were already thinking he was too fragile.

It is hard to let go of a long time star and starting qb, but at some point it will happen , it has to.

Rewatching some of those preseason games, I think Brice Butler could be Dak's version of Laurent Robinson.

I don't really disagree with any of this, except the suggestion that every injury is a competition.

Well it isnt obvious or stated, but if the bkup plays great, then suddenly coaches and fans think maybe this guy should be the starter.
Most players that lose starting role is after a injury.
