That, too. It was like he wanted no part of the game. Something isn't right with him, mentally.
Sometimes you just don't want to play in the cold...
or you're too hungover...
or you had a questionable lunch...

who knows with Dez?

Beasley is being schemed against by the defense. They know he's Dak's goto guy, so now the cowboy coaches need to scheme him open.

Yup, and Beasley was single handledly contained by one defender. Had he drawn double coverage there would have been opportunity for outside receivers.

I think it's time to have Dez return punts. Gets him involved early, and gets the ball in the hands of a playmaker.

Dak has to hit some early intermediate to deep passes to show that he can do it in the game and that will hopefully loosen things up. He hasn't been able to do that the last two weeks so the offense sputtered.

Not sure but it could be the outstanding defenses we played on the road. Both teams are desperately fighting for their divisions and the playoffs. Big Time environments and big time defenses.

Or like Peter King and Bob Sturm think, Scott Linehan and Jason Garrett are not smart men.

Sorry but douchenozzles like Sturm and King who have never played a down in their life are not qualified to critique the football intelligence of Linehan or Garrett.

"Playing Dallas now and over the last three weeks is not the same prospect now that it was overy the rest of the season."

He said Dak has not played so abysmally that he needs to be benched, but very concerning was the low accurracy.

He said a huge problem was coaching and scheme and pointed to the low involvement of Dez as evidence of this. Targets to Dez are 2 of 14 in the team's two losses to the Giants.

Thought I would share since these thoughts echo a lot of posters here about limping into the playoffs.

But Jason Garrett is coach of the year., funny that with close to a decade of Romo, these clowns kept blaming him and defending Garrett and coaching and Jerry's meddling..

Now it's the scheme with the QB..

Yes, but King is suggesting that Dez's lack of involvement was due to poor coaching. Which is idiotic. Dez can suck all on his own. Again, the fact that he looked like the best WR in football when Romo was quarterbacking this team is a real testament to Romo, he can deal with all of Dez's idiotic BS and still make him look like an all-pro because of his accuracy and quick reaction time. This is NOT an indictment of Dak, I think most QBs would struggle getting the ball to Dez on a consistent basis. Romo is that good.
Just not good enough to win titles. Gotcha.

Why do people think Dez had a rough day running routes?

He was wide open many times and Dak didn't give him a chance. Yes, he fumbled and that was awful. The first int was no one's fault, it's an icy field and Dez went down trying to make a cut. **** happens. Second int was Dak's fault all the way, starting with the fact he threw the ball way too late and into the coverage.

Not defending Dez ... but just a benefit of doubt , when you have a 6 year veteren and a rookie QB , who is probably more incorrect ?

Read Sturms note , that Dez on the right was always a come back route and on the left is slant n go, it seems NYG corners were well aware of those routes and Jenkins was on top of them , which could have lead to poor accuracy from Dak , that would have frustrated a WR.

If this is correct, Linehan and JG needs to be blamed too

I thought we are suppose to just toss the ball up to Dez to make a play even if he's covered, because he doesn't look like he's covered..

I've said this since 2003: Peter King and Pete Prisco are the two dumbest guys on the NFL beat. Throw in john Clayton also

Guy has contacts around the league, he knows squat about football.

Well just like Dak can have a bad game, I think the coaches can. It doesn't mean the rest of the season has been garbage or it won't bounce back. Linehan did not call a good game, but I remember a lot more creatovity in earlier games.

What exactly was the TD toss?

9 targets. 1 catch. 1 fumble. Your #1 receiver can't have an 11% catch rate.

I'd say these comments are spot on.

The fumble was bad. How many of those 9 targets that were not completed catchable?

Off the top of my head, there was the int. Hard to blame a guy for slipping on an icy field. So that is 1.

There was the pass thrown in between Witten and Dez. That is 2.

There was the pass thrown about 8 yds behind Dez on the sideline. That's 3.

There was the last play of the game, where the ball got knocked down by the defender. That is 4.

There was the crossing pattern where Dak hit the defender in the head with a pass about 4 ft behind where it should have been. That's 5.

There was the one catch. That is 6

There was the deep ball interception thrown nowhere near Dez. That is 7.

Don't remember the other two passes. Of these 7 Dez caught the only one that was a good throw (then fumbled) and we can blame him for the slip that caused an int Two of seven that are even possibly catchable goes back to the QB.
