I know his article was posted out here a few days ago but he was on Sirius this morning talking about the Cowboys again. Here's a few tidbits.

- he saw 3 practices. Very, very competitive camp which surprised him because of the veteran type team and big names we have.

-Adam Jones loves to practice. He'll be a top 5 corner and help the return game.

-The Cowboys have really improved themselves and they were already pretty good.

-Felix Jones will be the most impactful rookie in the league this year, maybe other than McFadden, provided he gets enough carries. Wait until you see this guy cut. Said Hamlin was ready to wrap him up on one play, Felix darted right and left Hamlin grasping for air.

Sweet comments on Felix. I was all over Jerry after we didn't take Mendenhall, but I would be perfectly willing to eat crow. This guy could really change how defenses have to play our offense.

Wow .......

Though this is the same idiot that said he has never seen a QB look better than Campbell did.

I'm fairly certain that Peter King's player scouting skills are strictly limited to High School girls softball. He also focuses a lot of energy on picking out the differences in coffee taste at Starbucks situatated across the street from one another. Don't get too excited over his NFL evaluations.

I hope this is more a bad *** Felix and not a bad sign for Hammy (Ken). I heard Ken was having a good camp.

He knows his field hockey, too.

His expertise (in order):

1. Coffee
2. Field hockey
3. Girls softball
4. All things Favre
5. Movies
6. Food
7. Football

That shouldn't surprise, nor should it surprise anyone if Campbell looks great through the rest of the Preseason. Zorn, like many rookie coaches, may tend to show more wrinkles in the preseason while most tenured coaches stay vanilla to keep from tipping their hat. This will make their offense looks much better, especially in scrimmage while the skins are also working in a new D-Coordinator. This is similar to how the Jimmy Johnson era started in Dallas and the Spurrier era started off in DC, with excellent Preseasons only to both fizzle when the regular season began. I do think that Campbell will be improved this season and the Commanders will be a playoff caliber team, but the step up will not be as drastic as it looks right now.

I have a lot of faith that Felix Jones will do well this year.

It would be a colossal failure to stink it up behind this O-line with this many other weapons especially since running back is relatively one of the easiest transitions from college to pro.

I hate the whole lightening and thunder cliche' with our new improved running game however this duo of backs has got to have defensive coordinators already losing some sleep.

Irvin was saying the same thing about the camp the other day - he said more than anything else, the thing that will change the team from a contender to a champion is how competitive the camp was. Pacman challenging TO every day, TO responding, he was thrilled with how competitive our defensive line was and how they were working our offensive line, making both units that much better.

His insight there was top notch, since that competitiveness is something he brought to this team.

Regardless, his opinion is independent of all the ones looking through blue and silver colored glasses.
