Dallas Cowboys (1-0) at Miami Dolphins (0-1)

I want to love the Cowboys after the Sunday-nighter, but torching that Giants secondary doesn't mean much, and the Dolphins will apply more pressure on Tony Romo this week. I don't like the Dolphins, but I've got a feeling Trent Green has three or four good deep balls in him this week against a weakened secondary.

Dolphins 16, Cowboys 13

This gets a big bowl of who cares. He votes and lobbies to keep our guys out of the HoF so this is no surprise.

:laugh2: If the title hadn't said "Peter King" my response would have been "Did Peter King write that?"

It's a nice upset pick, if you're looking for one.

Their record in September at home can't be denied. If you're playing the averages, and don't really care whether you're right or not, this is a good "shocker" to pick. I'm starting to get kind of surly that I dropped 35 bucks on the game for the Cowboys to cover the 3.

So I guess if Tony had a mediocre game against the Giants, it wouldn't mean much to him....wrong, he would be dissing Tony as well. So I guess you just can't win with this joker. Aren't great quarterbacks supposed to torch so called weak secondaries.? What a piece of work this goof is. :laugh2:

We have one of the best offensive lines in football and an elusive quarterback. I see few, if any games in which Romo is running for his life and forced in to making several bad decisions.

Actually, Peter King has been one of Romo's biggest national media advocates.

He's right ... tearing up the Giants secondary isn't a big deal. Just like I don't think Eli Manning is the second coming of Peyton just because he tore up ours.

Another thread pointed out that the Dolphins home record in September is not as stellar as urban legend makes it (post 8). It's a 4:00 game on the east coast, so while the heat may be at it's zenith, evening is also on it's way.

I suspect the King is still pining for his buddy Parcells and is looking for nuggets to throw out in the interim.

The article that spawned the original Dolphins-at-home thread was written by Father Knowledge, the not-so-honorable Gosselin.

Birds of a feather...

Burger King is an entertaining read, but I can't take a man seriously who ranked Romo behind Jon Kitna and other QB studs in his silly (being charitable) ranking of NFL players, in which he refers to Romo as the "biggest risk reward signal caller" in the NFL. The very next week, in his MMQB column, he states that Romo was great and that "he's going to be worth the money, Jerry Jones."

Yeah, my sentiments as well...If you're looking for the upset pick, this wouldn't be a bad one to choose...The combo of Miami's September record, their defense and the crazy rain all make for a lot of unpredictability
