Lions LG Edwin Mulitalo hasn't had to fight for a job since his rookie season eight years ago as a Baltimore Raven. He was released by the Ravens and acquired by Detroit in April. He is the front runner to take over the left guard spot, a position of great concern last season, although he still has to fend off linemen Damien Woody and Manny Ramirez. Stephen Peterman likely will man the right side at guard.

I always thought that maybe Dallas should have been more patient with his injury because in college this guy could run block.

Not Ripping on you but that is kind of old news.

I don't know if it says we gave up on him too early, we had better options or the lions have worse options.

I would lean to the idea of we gave up a little to early on him even if it was a situation where he would have been a backup.

Mulitalo is a great guard but he is going to get his butt beaten at Tackle; too slow-footed and more of a grinder.

I believe that Peterman is going to start; I heard he is playing well, and he is a good player.

sorry hadn't heard it before. It isn't the first time Dallas gave up on a draft pick with injuries too soon. We got Kozier from the Lions and gave up a lot of money doing it. Peterman might have been able to do the job at a lot less and without the wasted signing bonus and draft pick.

i hope he can have a good career. for whatever reason, it didn't happen here but that doesn't mean he can't succeed elsewhere.

I wish Peterman well unfortunately he was never healthy enough in Dallas for the team to continue with him. There comes a point where a player has to show you something or you’re forced to move on.

I think we cut Peterman in his 3rd season (missed entire first year) and was very surprised. I thought Parcells gives a player 3 years and didn't think missing whole first season counted. Hope Peterman has successful NFL career but sure would have been helpful if he could have worked out with us cause then we wouldn't have signed Rivera. Kosier was a cheap signing in comparison with Rivera.

I think with us, we just didn't have the room for him. He was injured his first year, and just never really showed anything greater than what other people on the roster where showing. So, the team so no reason to keep him. Besides

Davis > peterman Every single day

Yeah, it's sad it didn't work out here because I had high hopes for both him and Jacob Rogers. Add in Al Johnson and I thought we had 3/5's of our O-Line set for years to come. I hope he does well like Rogers does (he still in Denver?), but there were just certain circumstances here and they just didn't work out for whatever reason.

Beyond Peterman, obviously Kosier was a starter for them...and Proctor was on their PS. So there might be some sort of scheme similarity or somethin.

Peterman was okay, nothing special in college. He's another Kyle Kosier, which if the case, Dallas should have just kept him..

I could care less if he has a good career. In fact, I don't see the point of rooting for someone who isn't a Cowboy.
