Peyton Manning’s squeaky-clean image was built on lies

prove to me its nothing more than a made up story. Media can write anything it wants no matter how fictional.
you have nothing but faith that what someone wrote down is true. Media has the legal right to write a lie if it wants to. Go ahead and research that.

So since you falsely believe the media has a right to lie, with no regard for the truth, am I correct in assuming nothing short of me getting Peyton Manning to knock on your door and say to you what happened would effect how you feel? If so, I'll pass, because what you're saying their lying about is a clear case of slander

this means you have done no research. I know i'm not wrong.

its only slander if the player didnt agree to be a paid entertainer that understands these stories will be written.
its just fabricated gossip and you buy it.

it's actually quite clear you have done no research and have just come to the conclusion that Manning can do no wrong

You're wrong again. Celebrities/Public figures can and have successfully sued for libel (slander is verbal, not written, but I did use that term earlier). The bar is certainly higher, but it has been done by many celebrities when they are able to prove that the statement was a lie and they held no regard for the truth.

its just fabricated gossip and you buy it.

No, it's not. You can certainly pretend it is, but again, by all accounts, something happened that day. Every media outlet has cited the sworn affidavits from everyone involved and it's not an opinion, but a fact that Manning, while getting his foot examined by Nouright, pulled his pants down and exposed himself.

Now, you can choose to believe that he was mooning a teammate, which is what Manning said in the affidavit. Or you can believe Nouright's account, that he did that to her and there was contact, but you can not intelligently conclude, that the incident is made up. Manning admitted it, in a sworn affidavit and if the media was lying about what was in the affidavit or the existence of one, it would be as clear of a case of libel as you can get.

But, just incase you want to continue believing that the media made up this incident, here is the affidavit https://mgtvwate.files.wordpress.com/2016/02/peytonmanningaffidavit.pdf

and here, in Peyton's Manning words is what happened

"I was sitting on the training table, wearing a T-shirt, a pair of shorts and a jock strap ... Ms. [Naughright] came into the room to ask me about my foot. She then asked me to hop off the table so she could examine my foot. I hopped off the table and continued my discussion with [Malcolm] Saxon.

Once off the table, Ms. [Naughright] moved behind me so that she could examine my foot. At that point, Mr. Saxon made a comment to me intended as a joke ... After hearing his comment, I pulled down my shorts for about one second to expose my buttocks to him, or as is colloquially known, to 'moon' him."

But I guess you could believe that the affidavit is a fabrication as well

The problem is a lot of this is coming up now because of the on going law suits at Tennessee and the Rapes at Baylor.
Seems as the boys will be boys line no longer works.
Cover up. Pay offs. Defaming anyone and everyone that that might say anything bad about the football program.

The guy says why it's "coming up now" in his article.

He wrote about how he felt Newton was getting unfairly criticized for his performance in and after the Super Bowl as where Manning was getting off relatively scott free. Afterwards, someone who read his article/blog entry/whatever emailed him the details about Manning's incident with the trailer, which up to that point were never published. After reading it he felt it was even more proof that Manning gets the kid glove treatment from the press and always has. So he wrote about it.

you arent paying attention to anything. what the hell does Manning have to do with what I'm saying? I could care less who the figure is. Its fake news.

what accounts? who's accounts? where is the proof it actually happened? where is it? you are chirping something you read. A billion dollar industry can hire anyone it wants to write anything it wants.
I told you all news agencies can write anything they want and that is a fact. It takes you a half hour to research that but you wont.
No, there havent been cases for years about celebs and slander and if there have been, those are fabricated too, just like reality tv and a majority of hollywood relationships.

But I guess you could believe that the affidavit is a fabrication as wel

yes I can because it was. Who would waste 6 months talking about deflated balls and game/practice tapes and this unless you are a mental child?

what happened at the end of those? nothing

All claims written by her lawyer.

Also, "boys will be boys" has never been an excuse about RAPE. This wasn't "rape" it was indecent exposure, it being lumped in with the "Rapes in college" shows how flimsy the case is. It falls right in line with the debunked "1 in 5 campus rapes".

And this incident was NEVER covered up, it was big news back in 96. Everything else that came out in 2003 was never challenged, it was a change up in story.

So you're saying Lance Armstrong never sued the SundayTimes for running an article about him using PEDs that caused them to settle?

And as far as who's account, that affidavit was Manning's account...

So are you saying the affidavit is made up or did you just not read it?

again, where is any first hand proof for you that any of these things actually took place?

of course it was made up. I'm not wasting time reading something like that, that has nothing to do with my life.
again, this came out right after the SB. Yeah, just happened to come out right then.....

its news for news sake, nothing more.

in other words you have no counter proof what so ever. You believe everything you are told.
I gave you a very basic formula to detect reality but your -perception is reality- thought process is now confused.

a sworn affidavit is counter proof...especially when Manning himself admits that something occurred. using your logic, even if Manning went on the news and said he did it, you would argue that it was just CGI...

I dunno about that, pretty hard to get to that level . . . .

he's literally saying the media completely fabricated the sworn affidavit...he wins and it's not even close.

at least with deflategate (which he also said is made up, so that should get you worked up), there is some sort of plausible deniability, but Manning has admitted that something happened and he's saying that's made up too...

Ok, I concede. He's in Rogah territory.

again, all you did was believe what you read. You have no proof anything at all happened anywhere.
even if he said he did it,it wouldnt mean anything. Someone would get paid or a story would say someone got paid and nothing really happens to anyone.
its pointless news.

you need to revisit the tree falling in the forest.
does it make a sound? how would you know? you werent even there to see if it fell or not. You rely on perception you created in your head
