Also, hold you comments about PFF. If you don't like their methodology, don't open a thread referencing them.

Good stuff man, thanks.

Some of it is surprising for sure... but the sample size is still small. The defense is looking good so far though, they just need to continue to improve and hold on until Lawrence gets back and keep their fingers crossed on Spencer.

This. The sample size is small.

Yes, there are some good things going on, but let's see where we're at after say 6 games or 8.

Why should I hold my comments about pff? We're two games into the season and we are already talking stats? We need a couple more games to get a picture of this .500 team. Which is all we are at this point.

For most of the complainers, 8-8 should be seen as an accomplishment. Have heard all offseason long how we have no talent, terrible coaching, terrible schemes, etc which should equate to about 1-15. For having nothing to work with, would sure be surprising to not lose more than we win.

It's not surprising that PFF's ratings are surprising. Because they're almost entirely useless ratings.
Yes, unfortunately that is true.

The concept of ratings being available for each player is terrific, but the PFF implementation of it has shown to be innaccurate.

Wait, I thought we were lucky to be 8-8 last season, and the one before, etc.? That is the line I was given as to why JG is still around (great coaching 'allowed/enabled' 8-8; wouldn't have sniffed it otherwise?

Well, according to many here, we have the worst GM in the league and the worst talent in the league. If that is the case, then Garrett is working wonders.

Remember, all offseason we were told here that Dallas absolutely had the worst defensive talent in the league, even moreso when Lee went down.

So before that, different reasons (8-8 x 3)? This is a weird standard to aspire to is all...

However we end up, looking at the Cowboys' early DL performance as compared to the Rams early DL performance, it's a pretty good argument for not pretending we're sure if anything in the NFL. There's just too much going on beneath the surface.

Also, insert obligatory unwanted PFF grades suck comment here.

Because some people like to look at them, that's all. If you don't, don't.

This team is so much better than any of us realize(except for me). 11-5 if the qb doesn't screw the pooch.

Crawford looked like Reggie white against Oher. Strong dude!
