Heath sucks. Ha Ha is a major upgrade.
Major lol no
Heath sucks. Ha Ha is a major upgrade.
No way is Heath better.
5. HA HA CLINTON-DIX & XAVIER WOODS, DALLAS COWBOYS
“Both Clinton-Dix and Woods have earned top-20 coverage grades over the last two seasons, combining for a total of 34 turnovers during their brief NFL careers.
Both safeties have proven to be more than efficient when featured in a man-coverage scheme. Over the last two years, Clinton-Dix has the second-highest man-coverage grade (87.8) among the 31 qualifying safeties over that period, while Woods (70.2) ranks 17th. Together, they’ve allowed only 19 receptions from 31 targets in man coverage, giving up only 151 yards and a touchdown while coming away with six combined interceptions.
Clinton-Dix’s recent production has been somewhat overshadowed by his frequent moves and the lack of a long-term contract. But with a second-ranked man coverage grade (88.6) while aligned in the box and a 10th-ranked run-defense grade (79.7) when aligned as a slot-defender, Clinton-Dix has proved to be as versatile as any safety in the game.”
Here’s the fill BTB article, personally (though I wouldn’t say top 5), this should be one of the better S combos we’ve had in some time. Schematically are aren’t using a traditional SS so take that into account as well.
The bolded part is why some of y’all aren’t too excited about the pickup. But on the field, Haha is miles ahead of what we had in Heath.

So, would Haha, be better off closer to the LOS, based off those numbers, and play the role of the SS?
Didn't say he was better just said its not really an upgrade. Same with the dts they signed. Might be a little upgrade but I dont expect a big difference.
I don't know. Jeff Heath was pretty good for us at times.
I have my doubts about Ha-Ha.a few times in 4 years you mean?
PFF has zero credibility in my opinion. They have been posting some real silly stuff lately.
I swear they cater to each fanbase. Are you a Buffalo Bills fan? We got a stat showing your QB is the most accurate passer in the league with less than 3 minutes left in the 3rd Qtr.
LOL...……..Dak and the offense sucks, but our safeties are just fine.
Classic blundering logic.
watch and learn. Your assessments are uninformed.
He played FS in Green Bay.
I think part of his limited success post GB was due to sometimes playing SS which is not where he is comfortable.
The new defensive scheme will use Quarters coverage as it's base coverage. That's a 2-deep alignment. It's probably a better fit for X.Woods and might be better for HaHa also.
Safeties in Quarters don't need great range like elite Free Safeties (i.e. Earl Thomas) and they don't need to be like small LBs to play as in-the-box Strong Safeties.
Quarters Safeties need to be good open field tacklers and have good short area quickness and man coverage ability. It's closer to playing CB than either a FS or SS in single-high schemes.
Eric Berry is on the way to Dallas. I hope.5. HA HA CLINTON-DIX & XAVIER WOODS, DALLAS COWBOYS

I have my doubts about Ha-Ha.
Doesn’t sound goodThe first thought that came to my mind was that there must be alot of really bad safety combos out there.
