Esp when all people who have played know that all OL are taught to go inside before helping outside. "Inside out, inside out" my OL coach yelling across the field. Pretty fundamental...

Just seems bizarre.

there are not many big and quick guys like Poe(another guy hated by most of the zone during draft time).,i think Tfred will be a top 5 center in this season.

Waiting for the guy who says we craft our scheme to compensate for Free to blame Fred's 24 pressures on Free.

I don't have a huge amount of faith in their numbers but they aren't that bad either. It's just best to look for yourself if you're interested enough. His feet need work as does working in space. Too early to be too critical of the guy.

Fred had a rought Chief's game. I knew they were going to reference that asap. That said, as a whole, the line was infinitely better in pass protection than the last 2-3 years. Sometimes it's about how the line played together, even if one player struggles in some ways.

I think he gave up at least two of the four sacks they credit him with for the season, so really most of the season he played pretty well in pass protection. There were just a few games where he had some troubles.

so they use the rookies second game ever against a NT that had an all pro year on the best defense this past year as their first example? OK

My personal grade on Fredrick...
A+
And getting better.
He is already a top center in this league.

I think they let TFred play man up most of the time to help either Leary/Mack/or Free. On the OL Fred and Smith are the least of the worries. You know what even all pros get beat by the man in front of him from time to time.

Poe made a ridiculous move for a man of his size. A true "dancing bear". He is much better than I thought he would be, I saw him as an "underwear" overachiever. Not the 1st or last miss of my talent evaluation.

Wish they would have actually broken down each video they posted, but other than that I really have no problem with anything in the article. I think a lot of people simply saw the Grade -6.4 and immediately made up their minds that this was a bad article. Aside from that paragraph they actually had a ton of praise for Fredrick. Not that I always agree with them, but I think PFF gets an unfairly poor reputation at times

Nothing wrong with his run blocking but it will improve. He and Free both block well at the second level the majority of the time but both don't enough to call that part average to average+. JMO. And yes everyone looks bad at times. Fred is not a problem for the OL. He will get better though. He should make Pro Bowl either this year or next.

Overall, he graded positively in all but three games as a run blocker, with only one game in the red and his +17.9 run blocking grade led all centers. His 2013 numbers are eerily similar to Texans center Chris Meyers who has ranked among the league’s best centers over the last few years;

It's very normal for a rookie center to encounter some problems with the interior pass rush. I doubt many feared his run blocking was going to be a problem. He'll anchor the middle for years assuming we can resign him and he stays healthy.

I wanted to see a GIF of FredBeard going Man Mountain and shoving Randle and 2 Deadskins defenders into the endzone. That was fun!
