CAPERS HASN'T SIGNED HIS EXTENSION

A league source tells us that Fins defensive coordinator Dom Capers has yet to sign the contract extension that recently was negotiated.

Per the source, Capers is dragging his feet on the three-year, $8 million package because he wants to see what else might be out there before committing himself. The Giants, for example, are looking for a defensive coordinator. And other spots might come open as more shuffling occurs.

With all that said, who's gonna offer Capers $2.7 million a year for a position other than head coach? Sorry, Dom, but we respectfully suggest moving some of the black ink from the squirrel perched atop your skull to the signature line of that contract. Now.

That's interesting. Is he a 3-4 coach?

A damn good one. The Fins' offense was pathetic, but their D was something else.

His experience with Jason Taylor would help him immensely with Ware, too. Parcells won't sign him, but he's a great coordinator.

I wonder if BP would be a reason Caper wouldn't be interested in coming to Dallas

I heard this morning that signing on as D coordinator wouldn't rule him out of being the Fins coach but I guess you can't blame him for not wanting to sign not knowing who the HC may be

Jerry should offer him $2,700,001 per year. And the chance to double date with Tony, Carrie, and Jessica.

we already contacted Capers

and the Dolphin D has always been extremely good

notice how poor the talent was on D in Houston and the success, or lack thereof, Capers had there on D, now switch it around and look at the talent on the Dolphin's D, and his success there, correlation anyone?

You can smoke and mirror for a while like we did in most of 2003, but sooner or later you have to have the talent.
