PFT: Dak wants to play into his 40s

Why is this news? What player does NOT want to play as long as his body will let him? QBs don't take near the beating they once did so it's not even a big deal for one to last into his 40's these days. The question is whether he'll be good enough at that age to get a job in the NFL. I have always said that because he came into the league so raw Dak had much further to go to reach his full potential than most QBs coming out of college. It does seem like he's putting it all together this year. He seems to be seeing the field the best he ever has and his ball placement is on point. He was even motivated by the torn hamstring to work on his body to the point where he can run again. That all bodes well for the Cowboys.

I do think if he keeps playing the way he has this season it will cause us to use these extra picks on other players instead of seizing this rare opportunity to go up and get our next franchise QB.
You trust Jethro to knock it out of the park and find your next franchise qb with one pick? Good luck on that

And I want to own the Cowboys.

Highly unlikely. Tom Brady is the extreme rare exception. Look no further than Rodgers, who is 41, and hasn't been great in 3 or 4 years.

Interestingly........if you recall, before his final season, Romo was saying he could play another 3-5 years and Jerry believed him.
