PFT: Dak wants to play into his 40s

I know we've had quarterbacks that are actually playing close to that tom Brady did it I know Aaron Rodgers is still trying to do it and he did it the same way Tom Brady did it he had to leave his current team...

Joe Flacco's is forty years old and Cincinnati just traded for him to be their starter... There's that there are quarterbacks that have played into their 40s but I don't think they remained on their same team for the entire time..

Manning was 39 before he retired , It might take that for him to get a title it could be crazy but if Prescott plays here two more years and then has to leave because Jerry doesn't want to sign him again go somewhere else and wins a title...

Brady 45

Flacco is 40

Brees 42

Rogers is 41

Farve 41

So these are just some examples but players at his position at quarterback can play until they're 40 or over That's really up to them and the teams they're being under contract for who's willing to sign them Will they be willing to play for less..
You left out Warren Moon who made a pro bowl at age 41 with Seattle and was still playing at age 44.

Testaverde also was able to stick around until 44.

Rich Gannon and Wade Wilson both made it to 39 before hangin 'em up. I don't think the 40 mark is as rare as it sounds.. but as a full time starter that might be a challenge. It's going to come down to how well the team (and the refs) can protect him.

It was off the top of my head LOL I wasn't doing a search for all 40 plus year old quarterbacks I just thought I put the most recent ones that I remember...

Certainly teams that are now like CLE, NYJ, would be happy with him.

Between contracts and the insane endorsements that come with being a Cowboy, and I'm sure he's hitting Roger and Troy up for how to work over Dallas business...he's gonna be fine lol. Good for him.

Dang not sure if we can do 8 years or more of this.
But not to worry. Injuries will take its toll over the next few years.

If not, then expect Jerry to maybe draft Arch Mannings great grand son when Dak decides 15 one and done in the playoffs are enough.

Yeah but at least now probably be a 4th rounder at this point Stock drop from first to 4th That ain't all his fault i'm a Longhorn fan One of the worst offensive lines in Division One football at least top schools.. They do not have anywhere near the talent with speed elusive talent to run Sarkeesians offense and yet they're calling plays like it was last year or the year before... Right now this is a team full of possession receivers and tight ends power backs they look nothing like the speed and just break the game open tight players.

He has struggled but I realize he's young he's feeling footsteps and pressure this is on the head coach and the play caller which is the same person..

That's who they're targeting they won't have to worry about number one overall he's looking more and more like he's going to go around 4 if it ended today..4th rounder I mean name a side How is he gonna be looked at as any better draft position and Quinn Ewers or Shidor Sanders went?.

This is why most of us who know the situation with the Longhorns very close we knew he wasn't coming out till 2027 he has a lot of time to raise his stock but at this point his stock is pointing down..

With the promised medical advances of AI, he might be able to play until 140
